Wonders will never cease. Yesterday my DH decided that he is having friends over when we are away. He wanted to make them rice pudding from MWOC. He asked me to show him how to use the TMX.(he was the one who wanted to buy it 2˝years ago and has hardly touched it). I found the recipe for him and stood at the other end of the kitchen. Well he made it with no problems. (despite going out to the shed and not hearing the timer at the end :P). He is very pleased with himself and is now thinking of doing the entire meal in the TMX. Fortunately the guests have a TMX too so he will be ok.
It has only taken him 2˝ years. Whoopee. ;)

He's got a whole week. ;D ;D ;D

This really is fantastic Cookie. Mine uses it to make bread crumbs for the Fairy Wrens. Nothing else. ;D

Yippeee!!! Well, if my dh can use it, ANYONE can - it only took him 6 1/2 years to cook a meal!!! :-)) Now he's hooked! ;D
-
Tell your DH congratulations from me Cookie. Let's hope he gets hooked and by the time you get home has all these meals up his sleeve to cook for you and DD. I'd be letting him practise this coming week though so that you can keep an eye on what he is doing.

Well there you go!
You can teach an old dog new tricks! ;)

Wow, that gives me hope that my DH will one day use it, he doesn't even wash it up.
We have a saying in our house, that my DH doesn't cook, he only heats up!! :D Jenny

In my experience it is the gadgeteer sort of guy who really "gets" the TMX.
I induced some snowbird friends who live full time in their very large motorhome, spending the winters near Palm Springs and the summers up north near the Canadian border, to get one after they stopped to visit and saw mine almost a year ago.
They got it last April or May and while it was she that first used it, when they stayed at a vacation park on an Indian reservation in Washington State, he decided he wanted to give it a go as other men in the place were doing a lot of cooking. For fun!
Apparently it impressed the heck out of some of the other guys as they know of two who actually drove up to Canada to buy them.
Now she tells me that she has to get up early to get her hands on it before he starts on one of his marathon events, especially when they are going to be entertaining.

DH's signature dish is Beef Strog made from a packet mix!!! Finally he asked to cook again (purely because he wanted beef strog) and I insisted that it be made in the TMX. The result - success all round and he says no more packet mix for him - yay no arguments here!!

Congratulations cookie and twitterpated! No way will my DH even turn the machine off except at the wall!
