Hi
I am a 78 year old retired male and have just bought my Tm
My TM is 10 days old and my wife said I will have to stop cooking for a while as the fridge is full. She loves it because at last I am happy to do the cooking.
I just tried to make Borsch and I am wondering if anyone else has tried the recipe in the book. The bowl wouldn't take the recommended amount of water as it would overflow. It seems to be far too much water in the recipe.
The finished soup is quite thin and my wife thought it should be thick, it still has residue of vegetables so we will strain it.Don't think I will make this again.
I am having a ball, have made great yoghurt which costs about 50cents a tub, the same size of which we have been buying at supermarket for about $3.
CAKES: I made the orange cake and it looked great but was very dry. Can anyone recommend what cake to make resulting in a moist cake please?
The BANANA ICECREAM is fantastic.
I have been reading the Forum for a few weeks prior to buying my machine and it has been great to read.
Thanks everyone.

Welcome to the forum. INteresting that you have been trying to make borscht. My DH loves borscht. I usually make this recipe

but leave out the cheese and add beetroot to it. If you want to add beans of any sort do so.
Lovely to see another male on the forum.

Welcome to the forum dingdonny, I must encourage DH to read your posts. Perhaps we will do more than make lemonade and grinds the seeds and nuts used on his breakfast. Cheers :)
