I used to spend a lot of time searching for different recipes to help forum members asking for specific recipes which they knew were on our forum but couldn't be found. That is until recently, when I found an easier way than scrolling through pages and pages if the recipe didn't come up during a normal search. If I can't find a recipe with a normal forum search, I now type my question in the Google search space eg Gourmet Beef Casserole in the Thermomix or if wanting a wider range of recipe suggestions using a particular item eg Orange recipes in the Thermomix. You must put the word Thermomix in. You not only get any recipes on our forum but recipes from blogs and other forums as well. It is so much faster and comes up with so many more ideas. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Very clever Judy. Thanks for the tip but you are great sorting us all out with our requests. :-* :-*
And very much appreciated by us all. :-* :-*

Thanks Judy great thinking

You are a champ Judy, thank you for another snippet of your never ending wisdom - the time it took to search was an issue for me! :) :D To refine a search further, use inverted commas around the topic - a hint we always use with students, that way the search does not break up each term in a phrase or quote so that you end up with every document that has the word gourment or beef or casserole etc. Thanks again! ;) :) :) :)

Great tip Judy.

Thanks so much for this tip Judy.
It is a fantastic time saver.

Thanks everyone, I'm so glad you are all pleased with this information - it is going to make our searches so much easier and give us much more time to be doing something else. Mr Google has always been my best friend but it was only recently that I have used him instead of the forum search bar when looking for that elusive recipe. Katya, I have always found everyone has been so appreciative of any efforts to help them and sometimes get embarrassed by the praise which comes my way but I thank you and others for all of your lovely comments. :-* :-*
-
The comments are well deserved Judy. I've been amazed at the time you must have spent searching. That is very clever thinking, now I know why Google comes up as a tab. Thanks. I will try looking for myself now and not rely on you. :-*
-
Thanks Judy, I have also been frustrated when searching - especially when I know that I have printed out the recipe but can't locate it!!!
-
Judy as Cookie said all those beautiful comments are so deserved! You are am amazing woman!! Thank you. :-* :-* :-*

thats such a good tip JD. I usually go to the section where I think it may be eg. Vegetarian and do a search. If not there I try Mains etc. Sometimes when I know the person who posted it, I go to that section eg. Vegetarian, click on "started by" (which is up the top) and everyone will come up alphabetically.
If on the Home page, you don't appear to be able to do a search for a particular recipe/ingredient/topic/whatever as you have to be in a section like "Chit Chat" to find it.

Thank you Judy :-*

Wow, thanks from me too Judy, I use the search section of our forum but rarley find what i am after. Jenny :)
