Title: Freezing sunshine balls
Post by: hopefulcook on January 27, 2011, 10:41:29 pm
Does anyone know if you can freeze the sunshine balls from the lunchbox recipe booklet?

My DD loves them and is about to start Kindy I think they would be great to throw in a lunchbox.

funnily enough I just made these yesterday for the first time.  I think you would definitely be able to freeze them.

I haven't tried but looks like freezable.  Mine is a bit floppy even after left it in the fridge before forming ball.  My 18 months loves this.  Maybe next time I will reduce orange juice.

i made a batch of these last year and there are still a few left in the freezer. They are a great option for adding that little extra something to my DS6's lunch box.

I meant to make some of these before we left home and freeze them. Now I wish I had. My Dh has been eating all the sweet things from the freezer. (he never does it at home) I can see me making some varoma fruit bread for us. I'm seriously thinking of trying a date loaf/cake  in the varoma. Will have to put my thinking cap on.

No CP63 I don't . We do have an easycook with us so may be using that for a few TMX things.

That is also my stand in oven at present cookie - the 3rd layer of glass in my miele oven cracked and is taking forever to have replaced. The hot cross buns over Easter were not as successful as when cooked in my oven, so I don't know what I did but no complaints with all else.  :)  :)
