Hi all,
Just wanted to introduce myself.
I am currently doing lots of Thermomix research and would like to order one immediately, although I understand that I'm required to have a demonstration first as Thermomix won't sell them without this step. As I live in rural Central Victoria, it might be a while before this can happen, as there may not be any consultants nearby. I submitted a request for a demonstration a few days ago, but haven't had a response yet.
In the meantime, I will continue to read through forums, watch video demonstrations and look forward to the day that a Thermomix will be sitting on my bench, saving me precious hours every week!!

Welcome Thermocurious. I hope they get back top you very soon. Did you contact head office with your request?
-
Wow, love your excitement, hope you get some joy soon. Jenny
-
Hi Thermocurious and welcome to the forum.I hope you get your TM soon and you can tell us how the cooking is going. There are plenty of great recipes here for you to research while you wait. ;)
-
Hi TC, welcome to the forum. Must be dreadful to want something and not be able to get it immediately. If you have contacted H.O. in Perth I'm sure someone will get back to you next week and in the meantime if there are any consultants in your area, maybe they will read this and contact you through this forum. Where exactly are you in Central Victoria?
-
Hi Thermocurious and welcome. Whereabouts in Victoria are you? There may be other TMX owners nearby that you can make contact with and chat to whilst you are waiting for your machine.
-
Hi Thermocurious. Welcome to the forum. I am a consultant in North Central Vic. Where abouts are you? I'm sure you will find this forum very helpful. Depending on where you are I may be able to help.
-
Welcome to the forum. Maybe by now you have worked something out but be assured buying a TMX is NOT dependant on having a demo. It is just recommended so you can see it in action and make your mind up. Also the incentive is to obtain the Thermomserver if you hold a demo and buy. The option is always open to have a TMX posted directly to your house and if you don't have a consultant close by that is what they will do. All the best - would love to hear when you get it. ;)
-
Hi Nay-nay, what is a thermoserver, I did check out TM website but cannot find anything about it.
-
Hi the thermoserver is a container (steel I think) that keeps your food warm for a couple of hours.
-
Welcome to the forum. Hope you don't have to wait tooo long before your TM arrives.
-
Yes - it is an insulated Stainless steel bowl with 2.2L capacity. ;)

Hi all,
Thanks for the kind welcome and all the good advice.
Thanks to a very helpful forum member (to whom I am most grateful), my problem is solved and a Thermomix is on its way to my kitchen!!!!!!!!! CAN'T WAIT!! ;D
Looks like I'll be around for a while! Now for the agonising wait. Will do some more reading to pass the time.
Thanks again.
-
YAY!!!! Are you near Echuca? I was born there ;D Have fun with your new best friend!!!
-
I adore Echuca. I've had some of the best times ever there.
-
Thanks Nay nay, Yvette, I think I remember seeing it at the demo now, it was a couple of yrs ago I went to one,
While I'm asking questions, my sister asked me when we were cooking the other day if I had a green spatula that came with the machine, I told her not when I bought mine, is it something I need and can buy.
I do have the usual one that goes with the machine.
-
I only have the usual spatula that came with the machine I did get given a green cleaning brush with mine. Some people on the forum like the spatula some use others, it's a personal choice I suppose.
-
Sorry that was what she asked me for a green cleaning brush, I don't have this, must be a newer addition.
-
Hi TC, welcome to this forum. You have been bitten by the thermie bug, which by the way is very infectious. Enjoy getting to know thermie when he arrives. Cheers :)
-
The green cleaning brush is just a little extra that some consultants buy to leave with customer when you have a demo. But that's all it is - brush that you can buy similar at shops or $5 off your consultant. ;)
-
My Thermomix has arrived!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D
Haven't had a chance to play yet but will hit it tomorrow night after work and all day Wednesday. I'm very excited and just can't wait to get cooking! Delivey demo was great. The TM wowed everyone, so I won't be surprised if there are a few more sales shortly!
I think my life has just become complete!
-
I'm so excited for you - you're going to have a brilliant Australia Day on Wednesday.
-
Belated welcome TC - glad to hear you have a mchine now
