hi
Can you turn pure cream into thickened cream?
thanks
-
I thought thickened cream is just normal (pure) cream with gelatin added. Don't know the amounts though as I've never tried to do it!
-
What are you using it for? Maybe you could whip the pure cream slightly before using?

That is my belief too ... I would be too scared to do it. Gelatin and I generally result in bricks lol

I reckon if you have it just use straight cream I think e only difference is it might be a bit more icy.

I always use the pure cream (without the additives). Regardless of the recipe I follow, the result seems the same. Even what they call thickened cream seems fairly runny to me.
