I'm Cathy, from QLD Australia. I've had my Thermomix for, hmm, about 6mths. I love it, of course (who wouldn't) and use it nearly every day, depending on what I'm cooking. I mainly bought it for the kneading because I committed myself to making bread last year. I'm still not completely convinved that the bread is the best, but am experimenting with recipes etc and trying to get it the way I want it. I'll be looking thru the bread thread with great interest. As for everything else... I'm completely happy! I love baking day and can whip thru several batches of biscuits, cakes, pikelets with ease and only have a tiny amount of washing up. Next thing on the agenda will be a whopper oven that can handle the baking part. That's what slows me down :D

Hi Cathy, nice to meet you. As you can tell from my web site, I love baking bread. What kind of problems are you having; maybe I can help you.
I have this habit of making really BIG recipes, usually 4 loaves or more, and I really have to cut back. Maybe I'll use that as an excuse to reduce and convert some of my recipes over to the TM.

When I renovated the kitchen in our old house I bought a double oven and I still miss it.
While a big oven is ok, with 2 you can vary the temperatures of what you are cooking and I used them a lot.
When we moved to our current house I installed a solid fuel stove in the kitchen so I am back to two ovens - but only in the winter - it is far too hot in the summer to run the slow combustion wood stove!
If/when I ever renovate this kitchen I will go for the double oven again, rather than the huge one.

Another thing to add to my list to try out (being a newbie to actually owning a machine)... I have some great recipe books for bread. Now to go and experiment! Maybe after I have tried some recipes from here.
