Title: Pavlova
Post by: fundj&e on December 09, 2010, 09:52:45 am
Was getting a bit worried that doing a Rolled Pavlova was not going to work in the TM.
Just, received the news letter with the recipe ;D. Hopefully my TM will be here next.

Me too fundj.  I have been working on this recipe for a while now (very spasmodically I might add) and although I have succeeded, I thought there was plenty of room for improvement so was just going to keep trying now and then to see if i could get a better result.  Now I can try H.O.'s version. Am I game enough to try it for visitors next week though :-\

Give it a go Judy.   If it doesn't work,  just put spoonfulls on plates , with a strawberry on top and give it a fancy name. ;D ;D ;D

So happy with result

½ cup castor sugar
4 egg whites
Pinch cream of tartar
½ tsp vanilla
2 tsp cornflour
1 tbsp castor sugar (additional)

Insert Butterfly, add egg whites, cream of tartar and vanilla to TM bowl. Whip until very stiff and glossy for 6 minutes on speed 3 before gradually adding the sugar, cornflour for a further 10 minutes on speed 3.

Pre-heat oven to 160ºC and line a  Baking Tray (24 x 32cm) with baking paper. Set aside.

Spread onto prepared tray and sprinkle with additional caster sugar and almonds.
Bake for 10-15 minutes. Turn onto another piece of baking paper, tear away base paper and allow to cool for 5 min

Filling Ingredients
500g cream
Passionfruit pulp
strawberries
 kiwi fruit

Filling
Insert Butterfly. Place cream into TM bowl and whip for 20-40 seconds on speed 3 until very thick. Spread the cream over the Pavlova surface and top with fruit.
Roll up the Pavlova from the short end. Immediately place on serving plate and chill before serving.

I will upload pic , when I find my cord thing

Next time I will try cutting down on the time it took to add the sugar

you have to make them smaller before you add them.

So in the folder where you have stored the pic, click on the pic, right click on mouse - Edit, change picture size - compress pictures - compress for web pages, save.

Go to Additional Options (below your recipe/post), Browse.

Easy Peasy
