Title: Hi everyone! I´m Maria Angeles from Spain.
Post by: macorla on January 09, 2009, 04:38:59 pm
I bought TH  2 years ago and I can´t  live without it. I contribute with some other forums and friend´s blogs. There many books on TH that you can download for free, but I´m afraid they are in Spanish ( as far as I know).
I´m adapting some recipies from my mum and nanny for TH that I will be very pleased to share. ( Hope I can get my camera work for the pictures).

My best forum is  http://thermoforo.com/index.php

but there´s another one http://www.mundorecetas.com/8/viewforum.php?f=2&sid=60da1eefecd95f1d986723ce6c6ee1ff

We even have a " meeting" with all the people who wants to know each other, last year it was in Mallorca, this year will be held in Madrid on February. It´s fun, you learn a lot receipies and you meet peope you only contact them by internet. Hope you can enjoy  ;)
Cheers

Maria

Great to see you here !!  ;D

You can get some idea of the recipes from the pictures and the great thing with the Thermomix is that lots of the instructions are numbers for speed/temp/time.  So, not hard to translate those.

My best forum is  http://thermoforo.com/index.php

I am a member there too.   :D :D  When they moved, did all the previous posts get moved?? or did only some manage to get transferred??

You can laugh at my poor Spanish when you look at: http://thermoforo.com/index.php?topic=2252.0 (http://thermoforo.com/index.php?topic=2252.0)

Your English is excellent (mas o menos  ;) )

I am a member there too.  Do many people use MyCook in Spain?  I believe it uses induction heating, but it is not as advanced in some ways as TMX.

Hi, thermomixer, I am a publisher there and I think we manage to moved all the post there were with recipes. I've seen two of yours, I think you are ozfoodlover there, I hope to see you there more often  ;). I'm really very happy to have found you, I think I'm going to learn a lot from you.

By the way, Macorla. Thanks for having shown me this great forum  :)

That does seem to be a great forum with lots of activity.  Just wish I spoke, or read Spanish even a little  :'(

Really strange how the TM's popularity varies from country to country....

Thermomixer, Your Spanish is so good that I never thought that you were not Spanish!

A friend of mine got MyCook for Christmas. She said that it was 200€ cheaper than TMX and it does almost the same. I don´t know, but I´m so happy with my TMX that I wouldn´t change it.

Thanks Maribel, I didn't realise there is a translator in the forum.  ¿dónde está el traductor, por favor?  I use other online translators - even google has one.  Sometimes it is far from perfect  :-[

PS - Found it on the front page of the site - I usually go straight to the forum.  Muchas gracias.

Thanks Maria, but I can read and write iSpanish after much deliberation, speak un poco, and understand almost no spoken Spanish when somebody talks at normal speed.   :'( :'( :'(  But I did try, unlike my friends who I went to Spain with in 2003 and 2005.  We had a translator and so they refused to learn anything.

Welcome to the forum Maria.  It sounds like you have a great support network in Spain.  Here in Australia we have our fingers crossed that one day it may be like that here!!!!

The original post is a year or so old, but I've found the forum that Maria mentioned. I use google translate to translate it.
Spanish Forum (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&langpair=es|en&u=http://thermomixeros.superforo.net/presentaciones-f12/por-fin-encuentro-el-thermoforo-saludos-a-todos-t1051.htm)
There's some really interesting recipes. One is a brioche that's been steamed, then popped into the oven for a few minutes to brown.

Hi Marcola and welcome.

I was interested in the MyCook as I haven't heard of it before.  It looks remarkable similar to the older TM 21.  The website didn't give much information, but it does seem to have some limitations in comparison to the TM.  It doesn't seem to have a  :-: function - could you make risotto or would it just mush everything up :-\ :-\ Also does it have a temperature control (it talked about cokking at 120oc)- one of the things I really love about my TM is that most cooking is done at 100oc so your foods retain their nutrients, even the steaming function - Varoma - only cooks at 104oc.  But then I haven't seen or used a MyCook so it is hard to make a comparison. Have fun here at the forum  :D :D

True MJ

earth mumma - there is some more info - see this post. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3430.msg41508#msg41508 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3430.msg41508#msg41508)

You can cook risotto as you could with the old TM21 - just slow and best to use a butterfly
