Title: Love it, love it, and love it!!!
Post by: luluoz on November 11, 2010, 10:45:53 pm
Several friends have been raving about their Thermo's for months now but I never had a chance to see one in action until I attended the Gluten Free Food Expo in Brisbane a couple of weeks ago.  Was totally sold on the concept after about 10 minutes of demo's!  Ordered it on the spot and my local demonstrator here on the Sunshine Coast came to deliver it and cook with me last night. I am blown away and so excited by the possibilities!!  Ok, so now I finally understand what all the raving was about :)

I have recently been diagnosed with Coeliac Disease so now I cannot eat anything with gluten in it.  I have a seriously crazy busy lifestyle and in the past I have relied heavily on convenience foods or take away as thats literally all I have had time for most days.  The options now with the Coeliac Disease are a lot more limited in those items.  So for me, to have this machine that can make beautiful healthy gluten free meals in such an efficient and fast way, well I'm simply overwhelmed at what a difference this is going to make to my life.

Very excited that I will also be getting the gluten free cookbook once I have my demo!  But so glad there are already many many GF recipes in the standard book.

Congratulations Lisa on your purchase!  I am a newbie here but love my Thermie as well!

Sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  From what I've read these machines may as well have been made for people needing gluten free diets, not to mention people with busy lifestyles!

Check out Karen's (brazen20au) posts and blog (http://brazen20au.blogspot.com/) I am sure she will chime in but I have tried heaps of her recipes and they are fab-she cooks gluten free meals for her family.

Looking forward to hearing of your adventures too.

Congratulations! How exciting.  You're life can onlly change for the better now.
Gluten free food is so expensive to purchase premade and doesn't always taste that fantastic.  Now you'll be able to knock up your own fabulous creations in minutes for a portion of the cost. ;)

Good luck!

Welcome. The options for you now will be unlimited. Making your own bread, pasta, cakes etc. I'm sure you'll love every minute of it.

Thanks everyone for your lovely welcome.  I know this is a life changer for us.  If I told that to someone who doesnt have one they would probably just look at me weird :D

Have been having great fun already in such a short time.  Have made pumpkin soup, rice pudding, mango and strawberry sorbet and I am cooking the vege stock concentrate as we speak.  Oh, and I have marinated chicken legs in the oven but thats totally unrelated LOL.  I am just on a cooking frenzy!!

Look forward to getting to know you all better.

Cheers,
