Hi ladies -
Just wanted to say hi.
Finally after 2 weeks of waiting my thermomix will be here tomorrow just after lunch. I am so excited I can barely stand it.
Oh by the way - I'm Kelly from the Gold Coast, QLD
-
How exciting for you!
Welcome to the forum.
-
Thank you :)
-
Hi Kelly and welcome to the forum.I hope you have a great time cooking tomorrow when your TM arrives.
-
Hi Kelly, welcome to the forum. Exciting times ahead for sure, keep us posted with how you get on, what you cook etc.
-
I'm going to have an hour between the time I get my thermie until I go to get the kids from school - and I'd really like to make them a treat to try out for when they arrive home.
Does anyone have a favourite snacky recipe they'd like to share?
-
Welcome Kelly. My kids love a smoothie after school but if it's really warm a sorbet.
happy cooking
-
I've got bananas and mangoes freezing as we speak ;)
-
We have some weird and wonderful things which can be whipped up in no time on this forum Kelly. Here's 2 that I have tried

oohh - they sound great. Thanks Judy

Welcome Kelly. When you pick the children up from school, if you wizz them up a banana icecream they will be forever in your debt. Well until they have finished it anyway.

Hi Kelly,
Welcome and congratulations! How exciting!
Luigi's 40 second cookies are Yummo! My boys love them, then you will have them for lunch box treats for Friday! Makes heaps too.
Enjoy!!! But don't forget to come back and keep us posted on your progress. :D
-
Hope your first afternoon went well and the kids loved their treat. What did you end up making?
-
Hey everyone.
I only had a little time but I made banana & mango smoothies - the kids really liked them.
Then the vege stock concentrate - I made a couple of mistakes by not paying attention. It tastes really really salty. So I hope it's right.
And I made the quick chicken curry. It was yummy.
Just need to get used to how small to cut things.
But so far - LOVING IT!!
Attempting bread and choc mousse tomorrow morning
-
The vegie stock concentrate is that salty so that it will keep in the fridge for months Kelly. You need to be careful when using it and not adding too much more salt until you taste the finished product.
-
Thanks Judy.
I don't add salt to my cooking anyway so I guess it should be fine

Belated welcome and good to see you having fun
