Does any one have recipes for gum paste for making cake decorations? Also for things like fondant and the like? If so, would love to know.

Hi Mel

I've been trawling the internet for a Thermomix fondant recipe. Would you mind posting yours or messaging it to me please?

Thanks

J

I make up a one egg white batch of royal icing until soft peak stage. I then add a spoon of tylpour or CMC gum to it. It will seize up as you mix it in. I then grease my hands with white vegetable fat, and knead more icing sugar into it until it is smooth and pliable. Keep greasing your hands and adding more icing sugar until you are happy with the consistency. Wrap tightly in plastic and store in an airtight container.

Thank you Emerald Sue for posting your recipe.  I will try your one too,  as I found
One that uses the sugar paste with a bit of egg white , vegetable fat
cmc and cream of tartar mix in KA with dough hook and wrap tightly in cling film. And store in container.
I've made some petals, we shall see how they go.

I knead gum powder into fondant and get the same result - like this
