Title: Peanuts
Post by: samcooks on October 28, 2010, 04:55:04 am
Hi all,

I sourced some beautiful raw peanuts (shelled and skinned).  Any ideas for recipes would be appreciated.  I'm a novice with nuts (excepts walnuts, almonds and pecan for cakes, biscuits).

Thanks in anticipation.
 :)

Lucky you. I have been trying to find some so I could do boiled peanuts. We had some in Q'land and loved the taste of them.

They are simply peanuts that are not roasted, they are boiled in saltewater. A very Queensland thing I think.

Late reply, but Chinese braise them and serve as a nibble at the start of a meal  Had some in SIngapore last week.

Example - but Google will reveal many variations - http://mykitchen.cookingmomster.com/?p=841 (http://mykitchen.cookingmomster.com/?p=841)
