It is just 5 off us this year for Christmas lunch, after deliberation... Do we go out this year to a restaurant or do we stay home?
The decision we have TM why would we go out only to say 'could have made that ourselves with TM'.
So I thought I would start a new topic what is your Christmas Menu
We are thinking
Breakfast
Bannana Bread and fresh fruit drizzled with maple syrup and TM juice
Lunch

Tangy Seafood Salad (with chilli citrus dressing) - from 09 Australian Calendar
thanks brazen and i love bimby
Main
Turkey Breast cranberry sauce, TM steamed veggies
Dessert
mini plum pudding steamed in TM, fruit mince tart and mini cheesecake
selection plate
Evening
cheese selection, fruit, nuts and home made yogurt cheeses and dessert wine.

There's often only 3 of us for at least one of the meals and I still go all out and have delicious things and we love it. In fact have got used to itnow and appreciate the quiet. I have only thought very generally of the menu.

OMG- so there is. :o :o HELP I haven't even thought about it and I've got 14 people coming for a hot Christmas dinner. Actually thats not too bad as it's a very traditional roast so don't have to come up with anything new.

I love the sound of that menu. I haven't started thinking about Christmas day, but I have started planning for the festive season in general. We go to so many BBQ's and picnics in December and I am determined to get organised this year and make things easier for myself. I am choosing a few quick (but impressive) nibble, salad and dessert recipes and am going to keep the ingredients on hand ready to whip them up. I hate last minute dashes to the supermarket - way too hard with little tots! :)

Christmas! between now and 25 December I have 2 birthdays, a graduation and a wedding to deal with . Christmas might be leftovers from all the other celebrations!

Phew, that is a lot. Christmas will be a breeze for you after that. We don't start our rush until 16th Dec, brother's birthday then we have 25th, Christmas, 27th wedding anniversary and 31st DD's birthday. Then calm for a while.
Good luck with all your preparations Bonsai.

Oh dear - thansk berringamababe for reminding me. Great ideas there. Always easier with less people ( and easier to splurge on the lobster ;) ) when you know it will be shared evenly.
Good luck all - sounds like the usual mad period from now until the new year!
