Hi Everyone
Just thought I'd quickly introduce myself
We've had a thermomix for years but have only really started getting into it in the last 6 months and discovering how great it really is
It's actually mum's but she is finding the transition hard but with some guidance is getting better! I think she is just playing dumb so I'll cook more ;) (Ignorance is bliss)
I've finally signed up after having lurked on the forum for a while and read/used a couple of your delicious recipes
I'm going to attempt a Pavlova next so I'll get myself over to the Desserts section
Cheers,
Mel

Hi Mel, welcome to the forum at last. You may just be right about Mum but under your guidance, she will learn and adjust. Good luck with the pavlova, not an easy one to do.
-
Welcome to the forum Mel. I'm glad that you are now getting into the swing and enjoying your TM.
Cheers
Trudy

Hi Mel welcome and hope u get inspired I am also from Sydney, glad to hear from some more Sydneysiders. Where do you live? I am at Castle Hill.
-
good on you mel for taking over the TM and giving it more of a workout. i am making some flour tortillas today and beef enchiladas (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1645.0) and everything is prepared in the TM - so much more tastier, healthier and need I say satisfying. having a TM has really allowed me to expand my repertoire in the kitchen, and i hope that it does the same for you. its all good fun :D move over Mum!

Welcome Mel. Let us know how the Pavlova goes.
-
Hi Mel, I am another newbie from Sydney! Enjoy your Thermo
-
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!
Yvette, I'm from Strathfield
Sounds like I have picked a real tough dessert to start with but will let you know how it goes :)
I did make the mixture for macaroons in the thermomix a few months back and that turned out well so hopefully luck will be on my side
-
Welcome Mel, good luck with the Pav. I've posted one made with boiling water. Be interested to know how you go,
-
Welcome to the forum Mel.It's lovely to hear that you are having fun cooking in the TM.
-
Hi Everyone,
Made pavlova on the weekend and it was amazing.
Really easy to do in the thermomix and everyone loved it.
Might have to make another one next weekend although pressure is now on!
-
Congratulations on achieving a successful pavlova.
-
Did you take a photo Mel? Can you tell us exactly what you did so that we can all try it please.
-
Welcome Mel - good to see you going for the easy ones first. Macarons & Pav :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-* :-* :-* :-*
-
Lol, I know Thermomixer! It's all the thermomix not me hehe
JudyDawn, is there a way I can post the pic on here or do I need to link it to a photo sharing site?
I tried the other day but the box didn't come up when I clicked insert image
Thx
-
Gosh Mel I am the worst one to ask that question of - I had help from forum members myself before I managed to be able to post pictures but how to tell others how to do it would be out of my league. Did you click on the 'Additional Options' after you posted the message? Then you click on Browse and it should take you to where your pictures are stored. Do you know what to do from there? I have no idea what a photo sharing site is so if anyone else wants to come in on this, please do.

There has been some discussion here http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=191.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=191.0)
I think that it is easy enough to join one of the free photo sites, but you can add pictures up to 128KB by using the "Additional Options" button on the lower left of the Reply Box and the Attach
Hope that makes sense

Thanks Judydawn and Thermomixer I have attached the pic, moved it into this baking dish so I could transport it in the car. They are delicate little things aren't they?
I went through the Help link and couldn't find anything but it didn't occur to me that there would be a post :-\
-
That looks excellent Mel, well done (with posting the picture too). My favourite dessert in summer, apart from ice-cream ;)
-
well done Mel ;D its probably the 50o temp that makes this recipe successful in the TM. everyone loves a good pav, and it has just made me think about doing one for a bbq tomorrow...
-
Mel, lovely pavlova and well done on posting the photo. I use photobucket, that's the only way I can do it.
-
Wonderful looking dessert Mel.I have never tried meringue in the TM even though I've had my TM years.
-
Great to see you managed to get the photo on here - it does look good !!!
