Hi everyone
Ive had my thermomix for just over one year. Love it love it love it!!! Mum to two girls 3 yrs and 7 yrs. Live SOR Perth. Notice lots of Perthies here. Who said Perthies werent Foodies?
Was told by DH that there was no way in a million years I was getting a kitchen "gadget" almost 2K (given that the ole George Formann's, Sunbeam Juicer, Pie Maker had pride of place never to be gotten out at back of pantry). Booked a demo anyway, told the consultant Id think about it, only to be pushed past over my shoulder with dh wielding the credit card saying "yep we'll get one" :)
Love the fact that we know exactly whats going into our food, the time saving and most of all has made me try things I would have never bothered too before.
Did I say I love it??? ;)

Welcome WAThermoFamily. We've had several discussions on this forum about our DH being the one to make the final decision- mine did as well Certainly saves a lot of gentle persuasion. ;D ;D ;D

Welcome WAThermoFamily, glad you finally joined the forum. With 12 months experience under your belt you must have lots of recipes to share with us.

Welcome WAthermofamily from another SOR thermomix addict. As you said there are quite a few of us. What are you favourite things to make?

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
Yes I have had for over 12 months and use just about everyday but unfortunately I am a creature of habit and tend to cook a lot of the same things over and over and I use the books a lot and get recipes off blogs and off here. I am not terribly creative but now that I have joined I am hoping to get creative so I can share and give back some to you all out there.
I love a recipe called Tuscan Chicken and hope to convert that one real soon.
Ok so my favourites:
My friends say I am famous for my Thermomix Pina Colada's. Its even become a bit of a nick name and joke actually but they taste SO good. Will have to share that one if no one else has beat me to it.
Other favourites include : Thai Red Curry, Fettucine Salami Pasta (sometimes replace Salami with King Prawns), Chicken Korma, Nico Morettis chilli basil curry, foccacia's, sorbets, ice cream, zuchhini soup, stock paste, rice pudding, chocolate easy cake and heaps more I cant think right now....
Some other things Ive tried : Butter (was a bit too hard for spreading so must try the tip about adding some olive oil next time), jam, icecream, breads and rolls, cakes, soups, mini cinnamon scrolls, oh too many to remember hehe
Going to try the Chicken Cacciatore tonight so will see how that turns out.
I will try and get creative and start contributing...promise

Welcome to the family - I think we do have a Pina Colada recipe on here from Bron but would be interested in hearing yours. I love making a Pina Coladar flavoured Sorbet. That flavour always takes me straight back to being 18 and on the beach again! :D ;)

Welcome! I'm also SOR, but about 3 1/2 hours south!
We must have another Perth get together soon to catch up with you and all our other new Perthies!
You're going great guns with all that cooking. We look forward to your favourite conversions.
