Made this the other night and was impressed!
I did use chicken thighs (with the bone still in) as they were on special and I didn't have drumsticks.... :)
I have to say it was weird putting meat with the bone in but the taste was fantastic - Loved it.
Quick, easy, yummy - what more could I ask for???
5/5
Still loving this cookbook ;)

Thanks Linda. Like you, I am a bit funny about putting bones in the bowl and usually just use thigh meat. Glad to know it worked for you.

This is a very nice dish that we have probably had about 3 or 4 times now. Probably a bit over cautious, but I have to stop the machine a couple of times just to rotate the drumsticks around to ensure they all cook evenly. (we put in 7 drumsticks to feed the tribe)

Good work. think the recipe is on here somewhere, although it may need a tweak - have to check the book.

JD has a lovely recipe also on this forum. The one in the MOM book is by a WA consultant and that one uses the drumsticks.

Does it look like http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=30.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=30.0) or http://thermorecipes.blogspot.com/2008/07/july-chicken-cacciatore.html (http://thermorecipes.blogspot.com/2008/07/july-chicken-cacciatore.html) ??

The plot thickens....they are both identical...one appeared on this website in July '08 (and NYMixer says they reside in the UK) and the other recipe appeared on TM website July '08 by the WA group leader. The only difference is the MOM book has 1tbspn of brown sugar added...all wording and list of ingredients match... ??? ??? ???

LOL - sure does ! Just realised that I had checked the recipe from Anna before - no water but sugar added

Used skinless thighs with bones instead of drumsticks. And steamed the rice and vegies in the varoma together.
