Could anyone tell me the cost of a TM31 in $US.

Did a bit of research and came up with prices between $US1400 & $US1500 Karen 3.

fastcompany.com Dec 09 $US1400
redferret.net $US1400
menknowpause.fooyoh.com  around $US1500

Karen, Helene from here  (http://www.superkitchenmachine.com/)should be able to help you. They have to import them from Canada to the USA. She isn't a consultant (from memory) but is very passionate and knowledgeable  :)

When I purchased mine last November, I paid $1480.00 in California.  At the time the shipping was free.

I ordered from  Easy Cooking (http://www.easycooking.ca/html-brochure/tm31-new-brochure.htm)   I called and ordered by phone.

Hi there -- thanks everyone for mentioning me and using my blog as a resource. :)

Yes, I am located in Canada and no, not a consultant, but yes, very passionate and yes trying to help folks learn more about Thermomix in North America by way of the blog at www.SuperKitchenMachine.com .

I get a surprising number of blog visitors each day emailing to ask about buying Thermomix in USA, Canada, UK and Australia.

The reason I don't mention specific pricing and distributors on the blog is because:
a) I'm not authorized to do so.  :-X
2) Prices vary and change.  ???
3) There is more than one authorized distributor in Canada. :o 
For this reason I always encourage people to go through the Vorwerk website to find the distributor closest to them (because the USA is so very large). If I were to recommend one distributor above another, it may be misinterpreted that I am in fact affiliated with a dealer.

Yes, for those interested people in the USA, the onus is really on you to find a way of purchasing. One thing for sure... the gratification quotient will be very high once you receive and start using this super kitchen appliance. Go for it!  ;D

Interesting that the price varies - it is pretty much the same everywhere in Australia and I thought also in Italy - set by Vorwerk ?

Yes, the price is set for each country but exchange rates and shipping rates vary and people are always emailing me with availability and price questions as they perceive the price in their own country relevant to what see they see in other countries and mentioned online etc. Thermomix is very desirable as we know and there are people out there who are trying to buy TMX from other countries in order beat the exchange rate to save money. These people email me with pricing questions all the time, so the most responsible thing for me to do is always refer them to Vorwerk so they can find the consultant closest to them. Plain and simple.
