Name of Recipe: Ferreros
Number of People:makes approx 20
Ingredients:
250g milk chocolate (I used cadbury)
25g copha
70g hazlenuts
1/2 cup rice bubbles
nutella
2 x ice-cube trays
Preparation:
Place hazlenuts in *: and chop 10 secs/speed 6. Set aside.
Place chocolate and copha in *: and grate 10 secs/speed 8. Scrape down *: and set for 2 mins/50c/speed 3.. Scrape down jug, and reset for 1 min/50c/speed 3..
Add chopped nuts, and rice bubbles and mix for 20 secs/speed 1.. Scrape down, and set again for 10 secs/speed 1.
Transfer this mixture to another bowl, and cover the blades with hot soapy water, and give a quick turbo clean (saves a headache later ;))
Place 1 teaspoon of chocolate mix in each ice-cube tray. Then spoon a 1/4 teaspoon of nutella in centres, and push a hazlenut on top of the nutella.
Spoon some more chocolate mixture over the top.
Freeze for 30-40 minutes. Tap out gently on bench, then keep stored in the fridge.

They look great. Have you tried making your own Nutella ( Hazelnut Chocolate Spread p148 EDC ) it's better than the bought one... my DGC won't touch the bought stuff any longer. I'll have to try these next time there is a birthday celebration.
-
Gosh it's huge Maddy. ;)
-
I bags that one!
-
:D
-
Good work Maddy. I was thinking that you could use coco pops to add to the recipe that was posted saying it was like Ferreros to give that crunch - ta muchly
-
Could you use coconut oil instead of copha to reduce bad fats?
-
Thanks Maddy.
-
We have a version of these in the Festive book called Chocolate Hazelnut Kisses, p24...if that helps! :D
-
oh, i so want to make this now. thanks, robyn

I would bartoncs - checked on the net and there were suggestions you could do so. Apparently copha is an Aussie thing - didn't know that.
-
Copha IS coconut oil! It just has added lecithin.
They sound fantastic Maddy - perfect for Easter. You could make them in little Easter Egg moulds.
-
mmmm these look delicious., in fact anything chocolate looks good. The prince and I have just had hot chocolate to try and satisfy - might be time to pop him into the pram and walk to the supermarket and gather some ingredients
-
These sound great. Maybe Miss 3 would like to make some on Friday ;D Well that's how I'll justify it anyway ;) :D :D
-
May I borrow her please? Perhaps my Miss 29 would like to make some. She would as long as someone else ate them. She and DH have tremendous will power, it drives me crazy.
-
Know how you feel Cookie, DH is begging me (for a couple of weeks now lol) to make these but I know who will end up eating the most :-)) :-)) :-))
-
Know where you're coming from - the chocolate eggs seem to be evaporating in our house :o :o :o
-
My theory is 'eat it all quick' and then get back to trying to be healthy.
-
Glad I share the same theory with someone else :o :o :o one or two really bad days is certainly better than a week or two... as my whole eating turns to rubbish and it would be that long if I only ate a little bit each day. Hence didn't get to much chocolate into the house today ;) ;)

LOL - my stepson came for dinner on Saturday and he and SIL were saying that needed to go on diets and would help/compete with each other.
Went to bed and left heaps of chockies out and in morning there were LOTS missing - they may start that diet next week !!!
-
What helpful visitors.
-
You want to see easter eggs - am down at DD's and GD asked if she could have one. Told me they were in the pantry fridge in the bottom drawer. There are 2 drawers full of them and another plastic container on one of the shelves overflowing too. I just ate a Lindt chocolate bunny and feel sick :'( :'( Had only eated 1 small egg over the whole Easter period, maybe that was my problem - should have had more then I wouldn't have had this craving today.
-
Poor JD - I am not a chocolate person and cringe when I see what MrsT buys for Easter and Christmas

Ohhh you are a tease Thermomixer! :D :D

I didn't realise that they would eat THAT MANY :o :o :o :o MrsT was VERY UPSET when she saw that they had eaten her favourites (? M&M eggs ??)
-
oops!!! :o :o
