Title: Hi from the sunshine coast Queensland!
Post by: Lisalovesgracey on February 21, 2010, 12:09:24 am
 ;D

Just got my new thermy as an early birthday present! I have had it for two days now and so far have cooked pikelets, pineapple sorbet, steamed tatos in the varoma, potato gnocchi, whizzed up my veg for a sauce, pineapple muffins, zucchini slice, orange and lemon sorbet (yuck and yuck :D) and coleslaw!

My mum is coming to stay tonight and I can't wait to show it off to her!

See ya round the forums

Lisa proud new thermomummy!

Hi Lisa, welcome to the forum.  Glad the successes outweighed the yukky ones.  Mum is sure to be impressed and may even want one herself  ;) ;) Bound to hear from you again soon once you start trying all the delicious recipes from the forum.

Welcome LLG - good to hear you are trying things out - and having success and bragging.  :-* :-*

What was yuck witht the sorbet?  Bits of rind? Flavour? Texture?

yes i think it was the rind that i didn't like. I'm not blaming the thermy at this point because i was playing without a recipe but i think i will try it next time without the rind. Either that or spend more time processing the lemon/orange before adding the ice. I haven't given up hope yet! ;D

tonight i am going to try the salami fettucini from the EDC..

OMG! How yummy is the salami fettucini?? I used 2 cloves of garlic and basil rather than parsley and it was so darn delicious, can't wait to ake it again and all in the one pot! fabulous!

I also made a non thermomix recipe called rasberry delight with froen rasberries, condensed milk, honey, lemon juice and cream all whizzed up and put in the freezer, delightful :D
