I'm sitting down going through many ,many years of collected recipes. From the ones in a lovely sheoak box my new (at the time) DH made me, to heaps of scrapbooks with pasted in ones and exercise books and on and on.
Within the the recipes on lovely card is one my DD wrote out at least 19 years ago, from the writing she must have been 10-12. It is set out on card and marked with 3 dots which I use to signify if we liked the recipe or not. Here it is. I suggest you don't make it but your children or grandchildren may wish to!
Maggie's Mudpies...
One cup dirt
1/2 cup water
Tasty additions: small pebbles, dried leaves, bugs, plastic toys, worms
Mix thoroughly. Shape into pies (or cupcakes). Bake on a hot side-walk for 15 mins. Eat. Or wear.
I haven't seen it before and I just love it. Shows you how long since I looked in this box of recipes! Not sure if you would wish to convert it to TMX.

That's just gorgeous! Wonder whether she remembers doing it for you. Definitely something for you to treasure.
My 4.5DD looked at me the other day as I gave her homemade jam on homemade toast and said "You're a good cook mummy"! It was such a surprise to hear her say that.

It's thrilling the way a few words can mean so much.
I will ask DD tonight when she gets home from work if she remembers doing it. She probably will, she has a memory like an elephant.

Gorgeous cookie! ;D

Isn't it great fun going through boxes of recipes Cookie1, did you get many you can convert for the TMX? Like you, my recipes also get a rating but I use ticks. 1 tick means I've done it, 2 ticks means it was good, 3,4 or 5 ticks means it was exceptional and a tick and a cross means don't bother doing it again. My girls also follow this method I've noticed when I've browsed some of DD2's recipe books when I'm at her place. Like mother like daughter.

Similar method at our house. The cross is usually quite obvious too! Haven't had too many of them, especially since TMX.

Yes, she is her father's daughter. Although she prefers new cars to old ones.
