Title: Super Fast Raspberry Ice Cream
Post by: isi on January 09, 2010, 08:52:05 pm
Hello

I've noticed that you have heat, heat and more heat - so here's an ice cream recipe to fight a little against it ;)
This recipe is super fast to do and you can adapt various fruits you like - just need to try and adapt. Strawberries and raspberries are our favorites!
Here it goes

Name of Recipe:
Super Fast Raspberry Ice Cream

Number of People:...

Ingredients:
100 grams Sugar
400 grams of frozen raspberries
3 egg whites (very fresh!!!!)

Preparation:
Sprayer Sugar 10 seconds - Level 10
Put the raspberries and programme another 20 seconds at level 10
Then put the eggwhites    15 seconds - level 6.
AND NOW VERY IMPORTANT - as we will have a super creamy and soft icecream
put the BUTTERFLY in the TMX and program 2 minutes - level 4.
So we get a super creamy Icecream ;)

Photos:
No doubt that the Butterfly help raise the volume -  this machine is fantastic!
Faster than that-impossible

I put half in a large pastry bag without tip and filled the Ramekins and  put them in the Freezer!

The aim of this ice cream is that it can be eaten immediately!!
It is so great because of that!

I make it before dinner - put it immediately in the cups and in the freezer - just waiting to be devoured

bye bye

Thermo convert - Made the ice-cream today Isi.  All gone. That is a wonderful recipe. We really enjoyed it.

Meagan - Yummo just eating some of this now. The kids are pretty happy DH thinks it is a bit tangy but he is not a raspberry sort of person.

ES - Oh, my goodness! This is impressive. I had 5 hungry children at my house after school today, and needed something quick. I had heaps of strawberries in the freezer, so I quickly searched the forum and found this recipe. In no time at all, we had plenty of smooth, airy and yummy ice creams all round. I made this in my ThermoChef, and didn't make any adjustments to the stated speeds, and I was amazed at the end result.

Denzelmum - Hot day in Sydney.  After swimming lesson for the kids made this with 2 egg whites only.  Yumm...

Kimmyh - This is very similar to the EDC fruity dream. I made it today and the boys and I liked it better than the fruity dream. It seems lighter. Think it's the extra egg whites.

Katj - This recipe is also Beautiful if you use 400gms frozen mango pieces in place of raspberry. When mangoes are cheap, I buy up the big ones, you get exactly 400gms from a large mango.

Thanks isi, another good one.  Oh to have the luxury of that much spare room in the freezer to be able to sit prepared ice-cream ready to just grab  ??? ???

Isi, as I've said before I love your recipes. I have some frozen raspberries in the freezer and we will have this tonight. Your photos looks fantastic. We have an extra fridge going at the moment (for the Christmas/New Year entertaining-the beer fridge) so I'll put any leftover in that freezer.

They look wonderful Isi, just what we need.  Yesterday it was 45C here although on the TV news they only reported it as 43.5.  Thankfully today we have had some rain and it's starting to cool down.  Don't know whats worse our weather or the terrible cold that Europe is having.

Can you eat this straight away or does it have to be frozen? And if frozen how long for?

This recipe is also Beautiful if you use 400gms frozen mango pieces in place of raspberry.
When mangoes are cheap, I buy up the big ones, you get exactly 400gms from a large mango. If you live in the a Perth area The Spud Shed is the place to go for cheap sweet mangos.
