Title: I got my Thermomix today :)

Hello everyone, I'm new to the world of Thermomix.  I received my TM31 today and have been having some fun playing around with some of the functions, and even managed to cook parts of my dinner in it! :)

The best thing so far.... the lack of dishes in the sink!

I look forward to spending more time on the forum and hopefully making some recipe contributions/conversions - not just asking heaps of questions  ;)

Hi KarenO, welcome to the forum.  Ask all the questions you want to, that's what we are here for.  It can be a bit daunting when you start out with the TMX but in no time at all you will wonder how you lived without it.  Love to see some of your converted recipes when you get around to it.  In the meantime, enjoy your new toy.

Hooray for you Karen -- for realizing so quickly one of the Thermomix's best assets -- "lack of dishes in the sink"!

That's one of those seemingly small, and seemingly impossible aspects of  "Themomixism"  that is hard to explain to those who have never lived with a Bimby, but which, for people like myself who do not own a dishwasher, this is a biggie.  ;)

Fewer used dishes and ease of clean-up means more freedom and more fun in the kitchen... which you also know to be true by now. More fun means more new experiences, more creativity, more endorphins, more love and more good food to help make everybody happy. This is what happens. Get ready for it... it's a blast!

You do when you get a PM but otherwise you just hit the 'Show new replies' up the top there.  ;)

I just had a look and if you get into your profile - under 'modify profile' on the left of your screen there is a heading 'notifications and emails' - you can set it as you want it. Hope that helps if you haven't already figured that out. ;)

LOL - yes, check the different sections of the profile to see what options are available.  Just checking and I have 144 pages of topics that I get notified about !!!  Probably about every topic -  :o :o :o    :( :( :(  Need to get a life.
