Hi again!
I maid this Delicious Bonbons on Christmas to serve with Coffee after Dinner when everybody where saying "I Cant eat anything more....." They didn't left ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TIRAMISU - VERSION BOMBON
(http://i470.photobucket.com/albums/rr64/melgaco/Photo066-2.jpg)
Number of Bonbons: gave + / - 40 (if I had not "proven" so much it certainly could be Moore :D)
Ingredients:
250 grams of sponge Ren
250 grams Mascarpone Cheese
100 grams of butter (use unsalted)
1 packet of vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon homemade!)
2 tablespoons instant coffee
6 tablespoons Amaretto (use "Disaronno")
Cocoa enough to involve!
Preparation
Dissolve the coffee in the Amaretto.
Place the sticks in Thermomix-program speed until 10 powder (5-10 seconds)
Add all remaining ingredients (minus the cocoa) - preset speed 4 to obtain a homogeneous mass!
Place it in the cold for about 30 minutes.
Shape small balls (I did my - 15 grams each)
Place the cocoa in a bowl and roll the balls in there.
Had some small aluminum pans (package of 25) and the other I put inside a small Tupper.
They were a delight to eat and to see!
I hope you like it the same way as we did!

Denzelmum - This is so yummy, Isi! Made about 50 little rolls. Modified a bit to make it child friendly and use chocolate and water instead of coffee and Amaretto.
-
Great idea - I made tiramisu icecream last week and there is a similar one in yesterday's Herald Sun newspaper.
Guess the Sponge Ren are the sponge finger biscuits ? Savoiaradi like these?

I was going to say the same thing Thermomixer. I also do not stock Amaretti so googled for a substitute and came up with orange juice flavoured with a little almond essence which I have.
Looks good isi, thanks for the posting. I love bite-sized little morsels like these.

Yes! Exactly!
Thank you for being so helpfull!
Interesting how after writing a bit it is going so much easy ;)
-
You can do this Bonbons with all the liquors you like!!!
Just try it.
-
Kahlua or Tia Maria would work as that's what I use when I do normal tiramisu.
-
Great recipe isi. Well done.

I make a tiramisu chocolate that I mold in a mouse mold - call it "tira mice su".
They have some ground cookies, moistened with coffee and marsala - then a thin layer of chocolate and a layer of mascarpone buttercream with a little of the evil custard powder for flavour.
-
They are so cute Chocdoc. You are very clever! :)
-
And is that frogs I can see in the picture as well? Look lovely.

Yup - frogs are likely dulce de leche - or they might be crispy frogs (a la Harry Potter).
-
Great ideas for the variations Isi and love the tira mice su.
An aside - last night there was a video on TV where a child took a choc frog off the cake and ate the head, but put the rest of the body back for someone else :o :o :o - great to share spit ;D ;D ;D Think CreamPuff would die.
-
So you watch Funniest Home Videos too Thermomixer - DH loves that show. Being a child lover, don't you just love the kiddie ones ??? ??? ???

Isi and chocdoc...........Yummy.
Anyone in this house that "double dips" as the child above gets severely frowned upon by DD. It was a bit embarrassing when she was small as she would declare to all around, "I'm not having anymore of that 'cos Uncle Fred double dipped."
-
Maybe we should still all have a child in the house Cookie1 - they can get away with speaking their mind whereas it is just not the same coming from an adult. Good on your DD. Wonder is she still does it ???
-
She certainly stops eating something if someone double dips. Thanks goodness she doesn't say anything until later and insists the food is disposed of. I guess she sees enough bugs/germs/ bacteria or whatever at work and knows what they can cause.
We usually make sure there are implements to use now.
In fact I was surprised last night, we went out to new friends house for dinner. She had a spoon in the nuts so that people didn't put there hands or fingers in the nut bowl. I was shocked at first, then thought what a jolly good idea. I had never seen it before.

Great idea - especially with children around.
