Title: Hello from WA
Post by: wapred on December 23, 2009, 02:43:49 am
Hi,

I am relatively new to Thermomix, got very excited once I had ordered the machine.  However have done a few recipes to the everyday cook book and I am finding them very bland.  Can someone tell me where am I going wrong???

Welcome wapred  - many of the recipes are bland for my tastes.

Let us know which ones.

There are reviews of some here:  http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=48.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=48.0)

Some recipes end up being over chopped/processed - is that your problem?

Sure we can help.

Hi warpred, just use the recipes as a base to develop your own.   Experiment a little and you will get things to your taste.

Hi wapred, welcome to the forum.  It's not you, there are some very bland recipes in the books.  Try the recipes on the forum, they are terrific :-)) :-))  As Chookie says, use the recipe books as a base, add a little bit of this and a little bit of that and it will be vastly improved.

Hi and welcome Wapred from a Perthite. It's lovely to see an influx of West Aussies on here.

Don't be disillusioned with your Thermomix. As everyone has suggested try a few recipes from the forum and see if they are more to your taste as you become used to your machine.
