Hi to all of you thermomix addicts.
I'm sure I will be joining you all very shortly, following your yummy recipes and expert advice.
My sister and I have both purchased one and ready to cook up a storm with them.
Lucky her, my sis has already got hers and cooked a chicken curry and said it was yum-mo. I'm just waiting patiently till mine arrives. The whole fam is so excited I just hope we don't put on too much weight in the beginning from trying all of those yummy recipes for icecream.
Hope the kids will enjoy using it too, does anyone have some suggestions for something easy for them to start with?
And can anyone tell me with cooking bread, does it have to be cooked in a bread tin or can it be on a tray?
Thanks in advance and anticipation.
Nicole

Welcome. Great name - don't we all !!!! Sure you'll have fun.
The bickies are always easy. or maybe a soup from the EDC book - are you in Australia? cold soup if they can stand it. (As an aside - Found out last night that despite me preparing loads, MrsT doesn't like cold soup ??? )
To get them involved the meatballs in Varoma with tomato sauce is good. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=813.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=813.0)
Good luck - hope it arrives soon.

Thanks i think well start with the bickies. Yes were aussies based in Ballarat. Are there any other Ballaratarians around who live for their TMX? I would be interested in getting together for some cooking classes in the new year?
The meatballs also sound good thanks well give them a go.
Cheers.

There are a few from that part of the world - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2222.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2222.0) - not sure if Susan purchased ? You may need to check with your consultant (or their Group Leader) to see who is around and whether you could get a class together. Otherwise they have some in Hoppers Crossing and Yarraville and sometimes Gisborne.

Welcome Welovefood. You will have lots of fun with your machine, and you're right, it becomes an addiction.

Hi welovefood, welcome to the forum. It's nice when the whole family is excited about a new machine coming into the kitchen. Sounds like you are going to have quite an audience and lots of little fingers wanting to press buttons. Have fun.

Welcome Welovefood - hope your machine arrives soon.
With regard to bread, you don't have to bake it using a bread tin, you can cook it on a tray. Happy baking :)

Hi Welovefood. Congrats on the purchase hope it arrives soon. And so glad that you found us here!
Is Leisa your consultant?

My consultant is Anita. I met her at my sisters demo in Gisbourne. Very funny lady, took the p*** out of my husband for having such an italian name as she knows what thats like. She is also a dietician and specialises in diabetes which will be a great value to our family.
