Title: Herb and Garlic bread
Post by: foodiechris on December 14, 2009, 09:32:55 am
Hi All,

The TM went into overdrive on the weekend making lots of yummy things for a Christmas party. The biggest winner from the night was the Herb and Garlic bread from the Christmas cookbook. It was amazing and so easy to make! It was gone in an instant and everyone thought I was a legend! (it's all the TM however!) ;D

Made this on the weekend too for a bbq but got a bit stuck on the 'concertina' terminology. Ended up doing some pretty fancy origami, which looked spectacular but realised when I had finished that you put it into the springform tin in a simple 'zig zag' folding way.  :-))

I think this is the same as the pull apart that I made a while ago.  Very nice.  :)

The photo helps a lot. Shows how to do the zig zag effect, and going from one side to the other side - whereas my next attempt would also have been little zig zags going around the circumference of the tin and filling up the middle somewhat. Thanks JO - a picture tells a thousand words  :D

I just cut the dough into strips and laid them next to one another, or across one another. It didn't seem to matter. It all just came apart really easy

Am making it again tomorrow.
Just made the Banana, Walnut and date bread. Very nice!

This looks so good I can almost smell the garlic.   I must have a go, truely inspirational.

As CreamPuff says - easier when you see a pic - so I have copied JulieO's great pic here to help those like me who are slow at following links:
