Title: Yet another from Perth!
Post by: mama latte on November 29, 2009, 03:04:26 am
Hi everyone!  We are absolutely loving our Thermomix!  We've had it for one week and yesterday was the first day we didn't use it (I was out most of the day).  I think I used it 9 times on the first day!  I am about to try brioche and my kids will probably get me to make MORE ice-cream or sorbet! WE LOVE BIMBY!

Hi mama latte, welcome to our world.  Glad to hear you have had a busy week with your TMX, don't forget to do some reviews of the recipes you make.  The kids will be on your back all the time to make this or make that so be warned.

Welcome Mama Latte. I'm glad to read that you're enjoying your TMX. Did you manage to get to the Christmas demo in Nedlands?

Benvenuta mama latte  :-* :-* :-* Hope you have lots of fun with the Bimby.

With the brioche - best to let it rise longer than is in the recipe for a better result.

Made some mini brioche rolls on the weekend from the Chef Laurent book, and filled them with lettuce, ham, and brie. The other choice was lettuce, smoked salmon & avocado. He recommended wrapping dough in plastic and put in fridge for no less than 2 hours, overnight even better. When ready to use, roll it out to desired thickness, in this instance I used the MC lid to cut the shape  and then let it double in size. Very gourmet looking and el yummo!

CP63 they sound lovely. I must remember that about the brioche dough next time I make it.

Yes, really does need extra proving time because the butter adds flavour, but slows yeast growth.
