Title: how do I make Mango and macadamia nut ice cream??

hi Guys,

Does anyone in  Thermomix Land - have a recipe for Mango and macadamia nut icre cream?. i would assume I follow the Traditional ice cream recipe from the EDC and add the mango and macadamia's when it says to add the optional extra's, but if anyone has a better tried and tested recipe i would greatly appreciate it. For now I am following the EDC recipe and I'll let you know how I go.

Think I would mash part of the mango up and leave some chunky.  The nuts may be best broken up a bit too.

The ice cream mix may need to be a bit thicker?

I think I would make the fast mango icecream I use, and maybe try chopping some raw macadamia nuts then cooking them with some honey on 100 for a couple of minutes (or roast them in the oven).  Let them cool and harden then stir them through the icecream.

Thanks for responses. I had a go using the traditional ice cream recipe in the EDC and added the mango and macadamia's (crushed) at the last stage. Word of advice for next time - probably puree or finely chopped the mango a bit better. i had chunks of mango throughout the icecream which were a mouthful at times. Other than that it was a big succes and tasted just like those WEISS bars...really creamy - will definatley do it again after I "work off" the last batch!!.....BTW tried the choc mousse - but a major disaster (had no cream of tartar so used baking powder!!) lesson learnt to follow the recipe. Made the choc cake just now and its a hit!!! ;D ;D
