Hi I just joined the forum!
I would LOVE to get a thermomix soon! I have been reading a lot of the posts here and on taste, and took myself off to a basic's class the other week. I am in negotiations with the husband, and am hoping to win him over with some of the great recipes you guys have come up with.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your convincing. You certainly won't regret it if you do get to purchase. I use my TMX an average of 5-6 times per day.
Chelsea ;D

Welcome and I hope your DH is like most of ours and loves the machine. Like Chelsea I use mine many times a day. I may actually only make 1 or 2 things in it, but I'll use it to grate cheese, make breadcrumbs, whip cream and heaps of other little jobs that are so easy in the Thermomix. (With so little washing up too)

Go Amanda and don't forget to take him if you go to a demo - the men love it ;) ;)
-
Welcome Amanda - which part of Sydney are you in? Do you know who the nearest consultant is?
Do you need a negotiator for discussions with DH?
Good luck.
Any specific reason for getting a TMX - apart from the fact that they are bloody brilliant>
-
Welcome! Good luck! Tell him about the revs - more than a racing car!!
-
Thanks for the welcome!
I guess the main reason for me looking at the thermomix is the time saving factor in being able to whip up healthy food. I have two little boys (2 and 4.5) that keep me busy, and the eldest is a very fussy eater. The youngest seems to have an allergy to concentrated egg, but no other allergies (I know TMX is great for gluten free diets etc).
I live in the Hills district of Sydney. I'm not sure who the nearest consultant would be but I know there are a number in the area.
I will make sure to tell the other half about the revs of the motor....he is a motor sport fan!

Good luck - I see there is a demo in Baulkham Hills, if that's nearby?
The list of classes/demos is at http://scripts.rss2html.com/public/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.thermomix.com.au/nswcooking.xml&TEMPLATE=http://www.thermomix.com.au/02-template.html&MAXITEMS=20; (http://scripts.rss2html.com/public/rss2html.php?XMLFILE=http://www.thermomix.com.au/nswcooking.xml&TEMPLATE=http://www.thermomix.com.au/02-template.html&MAXITEMS=20;)

Hi there ;D
I 'ditto' what Judydawn said - the DH MUST see a demo and the rest is easy!
You won't have to do any more convincing - as your DH will have already been won over by tasting all the foods created at the demo ;)
-
And DH's love to hear how much money it will save on the grocery/take away bill!!
And..... if you purchase in Nov/Dec you can get 9 months interest free - so for $220 a month in 9 months it can be paid off - no interest ;) ;D ;D
Or just go on strike till he gives in :D :D :D
-
I like the last sentence. :D :D
-
It was the demo that convinced my other half that we couldn't possibly live without a TMX! Now we fight over who's making dinner - I still get to do the washing up though!
-
You'll have to do what my missus did, she took me to a demo & it sold itself; we had one within a week - She didn't even have to bribe me with any bedroom activity ;) :-*
-
What!! You take the Thermomix into the bedroom.......................oh I get it...............to make the evening coffee. :D :D :D :D
-
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D you cheeky girl Cookie1. Thanks for the laugh Shallys DH & Cookie1.
-
You could tell him that there would be more time to do other things ..... like activities mentioned above ;) ;) ;D
