We would like people to contribute to this forum.
As an incentive, I propose to give away a copy of Jane Lawson's . . . "Yoshoku, Japanese food Western style".
There is an adaptation of one of the recipes (http://thermomix-er.blogspot.com/2008/08/thermomix-spaghetti-meatballs-japanese.html) on my blog. Jane corrected me on what her position is now within Murdoch Books - something like Publisher - Food, ... sorry Jane, lost that email.
She is the author and editor of many Murdoch Books including Cocina Nueva; Grub; Tossed (which Dani has been championing lately, in salads of various sorts and combinations); BBQ for Friends; and, Spice Market.
So, what to do?
Just join this Thermomix Forum (http://adaptation of one of the recipes), contribute a recipe for 5 chances of winning.
If you comment or just introduce yourself, you get a single "ticket" in the draw.
If you place a link to your recipe on your own blog, but don't actually reproduce the recipe, then you will also get a "ticket".
Each time you contribute, I will make a note and enter you in the draw.
As an added incentive (thanks brazen) an extra 5 points to anybody who organises a new member, who then posts in the "Welcome - Introduce Yourself" area and acknowledges the referrer.
All those who have contributed since the start of September, when I found out about the Forum, will be entered.
You don't need any fancy recipe and ANY post counts.
The draw will close on Sunday, November 23, 2008.
Just join this Thermomix Forum (http://adaptation of one of the recipes), if you haven't already, post and GOOD LUCK !!!

can those of us who are already here play too? :D

Great idea - 5 points for a new referral who posts in the "Welcome - make yourself known" area and acknowledges the referrer.

Hi,
I bought my thermomix a couple of months ago and have been using it daily.
I love it because it takes less time to cook.
Have not converted any recipes yet but will post some when I do.

Hi,

Karen from South Australia
What is it with Karens and TMX?? Great to see another Aussie, and not from Perth.
Have you got a good local consultant? Do you get many demos in Adelaide??
Thanks for getting on board.

wow thermomixer, i can't believe all the action in here!!!! well done!
-
Not much action since you went for the drunken orgy on the Gold Coast. ;D ^^ ^^ ^^
-
LOL!
just home today from camping too :)
i missed my tmx, i wish we could have taken it with us - the weather was sooooooooo bad we couldn't cook because the gas stove wouldn't stay lit in the wind :-X
-
Brazen20au, we discovered TMX on the road as it were. It was shown to us by a lady who had hers in her caravan. When I get mine (7 more sleeps!) I hope to take it away with me. I'll only do it for holidays when we are staying in one place, not touring. I guess it will be easier as we'll be in a caravan.
Hope you enjoyed your camping trip-even if the weather was lousy.
-
i would take it in the caravan, as you can lock that! but i'd be too scared to leave it in a tent! lol
-
i missed my tmx,
and we missed you too ;)

Only 10 days to Contribute to the Thermomix Forum and Win !!!! (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=223.msg481#msg481)

oooh i just saw i am a moderator here :o :-*careful the power doesn't go to my head ;D
-
Firstly, just so you know how I did it -in case anybody wants to abuse me. I started recording all posts etc on an Excel spreadsheet, with "tickets" as listed in the first post. As postings were made they were added as one or 5 "tickets".
There were 739 "tickets" based on the criteria - I didn't get any tickets, don't worry.
Then I used a Random Number generator program which declared 584 as the winning number.
From my list of postings, it transpired that the winning post was related to ....
Clinker Slice by Alina0210.
So, thank you to all who contributed and CONGRATULATIONS to Alina.
She can contact me with address details.

congratulations alina!!!!
-

That clinker slice is a winner, congratulations Alina0210. ;D
