My standard 'Wouldn't it be brilliant if ..." is for the TMX to have a see through lid or bowl. But I've added a new one ..
"Wouldn't it be brilliant if I could just click this recipe to send it to a favourites / to try folder" when I'm browsing through the site. I don't suppose it's possible is it, MM? I'm guessing that it's technically too difficult - but that doesn't stop me thinking how brilliant it would be :D
I'm forever reading a recipe and thinking, ooh, I want to give that a go. But then can't remember what it was a wanted to try when I have a moment. And although I've now found out how to print the recipes (yes, I know that it took me a long time to figure that out. What can I say, I'm technically challenged ;D ) I have a bit of a rule that I can't print out recipes unless I'm about to do them NOW. Otherwise I drown under bits of paper :D :D :-))

If it's any help Caroline, what I do is to copy and paste the recipes I fancy attempting at some point into a Word document. I make the document name the same as the recipe name and I then save it into a folder on my computer called THERMOMIX RECIPES. I also change the font size to a bigger one so that there is a remote chance that I can read the recipe without my specs. when cooking from it.
Then when I feel like being adventurous, I just go into that folder and see what is in there and I can print off the one that I choose.
(If all this sounds a bit unclear let me know and you are interested in knowing more about what I do, let me know and I'll send better instructions to you!)

LOL ;D
Actually, theoretically (and it really IS theoretical) I do the same. At least, I have a folder called Thermomix Recipes, and there are some recipes in it. So, "wouldn't it be brilliant if I actually remembered to use it!!!!" :-[
Clearly this is one of those ruts I get into. I'm used to clicking next to the recipe to say I want to try it, and Recipezaar remembering that for me, and pulling them up at the touch of a button. I guess it's both lazy and disorganised of me that I a) generally DON'T copy and paste to a Word document and b) when I do, I forget that I have so I don't look at it.
Sigh. I obviously need to get my act together! :-)) Hopefully you'll have inspired me to do better now, Katya.

Good luck with it Caroline.....
I bet I sound like someone really organised what with an Excel spreadsheet for my freezer and my TMX recipe folder, but the reality of it is that those are probably the only 2 things in my whole life that I seem to have any control over - you should see the state of my desk for example ;D
-
I sometimes copy then paste a recipe onto an e-mail then send it to myself to add to my TMX recipe folder in my local folders. I really should consolidate all my recipes but I hardly have time what with the forum and cooking!

Yopu can bookmark pages too - but then that becomes full.
When we started it was like extracting the proverbial blood from a stone, now I don't have time - especially when I go to so many seminars.
But I'm not complaining about have lots of recipes - great work all. :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

I agree with you CarolynW - just click and store it in 'my recipes' . MM told us he is updating our site this month so you never know, maybe there will be an added bonus in store. Hint, hint, hint MM :-* :-* :-*

I must admit that I print mine out and file them. Then when I'm doing my menu plan I get the file out and go through it, often discovering that I have printed the same recipe twice. Sorry trees! :'( My thermomix file is getting larger by the day.

Carolyn, what I did recently was download a freeware of "evernote (see this post on the programme - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1639.msg16579#msg16579) and all I have to do is open the evernote programme, highlight the text or recipe I want to keep and click on rhs of mouse and select "add to evernote". I am in love with this programme. I have added all my recipes, can access them online from another computer, have added pdf (recipe books and individual recipes), tagged them, etc.

I like the evernote program. Thanks for that Gralke.

I could definitely go the transparent lid!!!
I use a program called Tree Notes for my bath and body recipes... it's good for me because I get my recipes from all over the web. If this is the only place you get your TM recipes from then I think something incorporated into the site itself would be excellent :-* :-*
