I cannot praise John and Janie from Thermomix UK highly enough.
My machine had developed a crack in its frame and I reported it, assuming that I would be facing a massive repair bil and would have to be without the machine for agesl.
Yesterday evening John and Janie (together with their adorable guide-dog trainee Zoro, although our cat didn't quite feel the same about him) came through here on their way to some demos in Leeds and John fixed the machine for me in my kitchen by putting on a replacement frame and, what's more, didn't charge a penny for doing so ;)
They are so helpful and friendly and enthusiastic, I just felt I had to give them a hearty cheer on here.
THANK YOU SO MUCH JOHN & JANIE !!!! ;D ;D

Love to hear good news like that - good work Team UKTMX

Unbelievably wonderful for you. Well Done to Jon Janie and Zoro.

What a wonderful outcome for you - that problem must be a rare one and it would have worried me sick thinking of the cost for repairs. Lucky you Katya and well done to the UK team.

Funnily enough at my demo on Sunday night, I had a customer that raved about the service for Thermomix Australia as well - I think there is also a post on the forum somewhere about Thermomix Australia's great service so fantastic to hear all round ;D ;D
-
That's really good to read as I find that service is something that is very hard to find now a days. That type of thing will help sell more machines. Well done TMX UK and Australia. :D
-
Just tried to imagine the German Vorwerk company doing that. Hahahahahahahaha ;D
I had email contact with the UK company and they were SO friendly there. Congratulations on a pain and cost-free repair :)
-
Yes, I rang them to order the Fast & Easy cookbook plus the demonstrator book, and it was very friendly and prompt service.
I can recommend the F&E cookbook too - lots of great recipes, and heaps of hints through out. Including postage it cost about AUD$86 - so I hope no one says that I could have got these cheaper through HO. (But I am still happy with my purchase anyway :D)

Is the UK website updated regularly or are these the same recipes on there forever? I look on a monthly basis, but it doesn't seem to have changed. Has anyone else noticed any movement or addition of new recipes?
Aus...not showing latest books, and appears to be fairly slow (hmm, a trifle boring too). Anyone interested in buying a TM would not be too excited in my honest opinion. As an Aussie owner, I do not look on this website for news or inspiration. They need to possibly employ a website company who can offer them more than current provider. Ditto UK. English being my only language, I have not looked on other TM websites for comparison.
My personal opinion is that if you want the latest news on TM -- look on this forum!

The UK site puts its newsletters onto the site (a little hard to find but there's a tab on the top that takes you there) and there are new ones every few months. I think the site gives a pretty good representation of what the Thermomix does and the range of recipes certainly tempted me when I was looking. I personally don't see a need to keep changing it as I assume it is targetted at potential customers.
Once you have a machine, there are all sorts of other ways of getting new recipes (including this wonderful forum).
-
The old recipes are left there, but between one and three new recipes are added most (but not every) month.

Just another positive report about UK Thermomix - just emailed them to find out about ordering a F & E cookbook and having it sent to UK address (in-laws are going over in March and will bring back for me) - Janie emailed be back within half an hour :o :o, on a Saturday too - amazing. All up should cost me around $44 (aussie dollars).
-
wow that's brilliant! i'm still waiting on a reply to an email i sent to perth about 4-6 weeks ago lol
-
sounds like the UK is to be looked up to! Well done!
-
Creampuff, it will be great if you could put up the Fast and Easy UK version cookbook contents on the Forum... Thanks so much. :) :) :)
-
That is a bloody BIG undertaking - maybe we could ask Janie to provide us with a list?
-
I'll just scan the pages ;)

Hi,
Thermomix UK have just emailed me a pdf version of the table of contents for the Fast & Easy cookbook... Can someone tell me how to place it on the forum (I have tried a few times albeit unsuccessfully)?
-
That would be great - if it is more than 128KB then we may have to try something different - but, go to Cookbook Contents here: http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=52.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?board=52.0) and then New Topic In the Subject place Fast and Easy or whatever and then down at the bottom it says - Additional Options... Click on that and a box will come up with Attach: and you can Browse to find the file to attach.
Alternatively, and may be easier? just open the .pdf file, go to Tools on the top line and then Select Tool and Highlight the contents and Copy and Paste into the Message box.
Good luck, and THANKS :-*
