Title: Hello thermomixers
Post by: Mayet on October 03, 2009, 12:57:27 pm
Hi Thermomixers

I am a mama to two little people, I am married to a chef who is always at work, so I needed a TMX so I can keep up with him. I have had my tmx for about a month now, and use it constantly. I mostly cook all my own recipes in it as I'm not too fussed with the cook books but use them as a guide for how long to cook something etc.
So far almost everything has come out great (with the exception of minced chicken, I annihilated that :lol)

I have just had a friend come over for dinner and she has told me to post the recipe for the meal I made on the forum, so here I am :)

Cheers

Welcome Mayet,
Great to hear you are enjoying your Thermomix.
You are very clever to be using your own recipes so quickly. We would love you to share them. ;D

Thank you VHJ, I just figure that some stuff will work out, some wont and you live and learn, it is pretty easy to convert recipes though.

Hi Mayat, welcome to the forum.  I thought people who were married to chefs didn't have to cook ??? ??? ??? ??? You see Bill Granger and other dads on Foxtel cooking all the family meals and I envy their wives.  Maybe they only do it for the camera :-)) :-)) Anyway nice to see you want to cook lovely meals to compete or impress your DH chef. Looking forward to all your recipes in future. Does your DH have a TMX where he works and what does he think of it.

Unfortunately DH works split shifts so he is never home to cook for me. He doesn't have a TMX at work, the 2 litre capacity is too small for the volume they do. He has had a play with mine (ha!) and has been pretty impressed, I think the only thing he has made in it has been custard though.

Just be careful - he may take it over and not let you play
