Would anyone have the creamed spinach recipe from the UK EDC please?
I want to make a recipe in the new Indian book and I need to make this first.
Thanks. :-* :-*

I did have it Cookie1 but wasn't impressed with it so threw it away. I then did a recipe from the WW Dinner Party Cookbook where I basically chopped 2 onions and 2 cloves crushed garlic, added some butter & sauteed until tender. Added 2 x 250g chopped thawed frozen spinach S & P and a pinch of nutmeg . Stirred on reverse until heated through then added 1/2 cup cream and 6 chopped shallots and cook a further 3 mins on reverse. This serves 6 so you'd need to halve it for your family. If using fresh spinach, shred and cook in the Varoma tray beforehand.
The UK recipe wasn't creamy at all, it just had butter in it which of course stayed all liquidy. Trudy has it though if you really wanted to compare that with the WW version.

No yours sounds fine Judy. It simply has some curry paste added to it and I would like to try and make some paneer and add that. When we were in Singapore we tasted a lovely dish that seemed to be creamed spinach, paneer and a curry taste. Will see how I go.
Big thank you. :-*

Creamed Spinach from UK Fast & Easy Cooking
50 gm water
500 gm fresh spinach, washed, stalks removed
30 gm butter
Salt & pepper to taste
Grated parmesan
Add water, salt, pepper & spinach to TM bowl.
Cook 8-10 minutes/100/Speed 2, using spatula to push down leaves.
Drain spinach thoroughly in a colander & return to TM bowl with the butter.
Heat 1 minute/100/Speed 1, then mix without heat on Speed 3 until a creamy consistency. Check seasoning & serve sprinkled with parmesan.
