Oh, yummyumm!
What did your kids say? I have to find flax seeds..... I´m soaking the spelt over night, so there´ll be another version tomorrw :), then I could do a gluten free one the day after tomorrow :).
-
They order it once a week since they can talk ;D
-
My girls only eat the one Daddy makes.
It´s with a lot of "Quark", a kind of soft cottage cheese, and they cannot really handle dairy. Just like their mom ;).
-
wow, looks amazing!
-
Yes, a bit like Bircher muesli. Great stuff - look forward to the variations
-
Okay,
you guys really get to me. You don´t only know potato pancakes, but also Bircher Müsli. *rofl*
And I always claim myself to be a non predjudice person. *rofl*

We have had lots of Germans here in Australia and they went to wine-growing areas (or areas that later became wine-producing areas due to the Germans).
So the Barossa - which has its own dialect http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barossa_German (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barossa_German) and the Riverina http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_settlements_in_the_Riverina (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_settlements_in_the_Riverina)
last night I saw the Germans talking about kegel -http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegel_(bowling) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kegel_(bowling)) - so we've got a lot of German heritage.
-
Wow, interesting. I forgot about the Bircher Muesli ;).
We learn a lot in this forum. I remember that 30 years ago a classmate emigrated with her family to Australia. Maybe she is here?
-
Yes,
I do learn a lot here and you people are very patient :).
Yesterday it accured to me, that you are going into spring now, here it´s fall, harvesting season.
All immigrants bring part of their culture into the country and I love all the diffent kinds of influences we have in Germany. Plus, since eastern Europe opened up, we traveld to Romaina a couple of times and love it there. The people, the landscape and the food! I brought a few things into my kitchen from there.
-
Oh this looks yummy, I think this will be on my summer breakfast menu ;D
