I see where a TM 7 is to be released. I love the look of it, but time will tell.
-
I'm not sure about that solid black of the jug. It will be interesting to hear the feedback once it comes onto the market.
-
I wonder what else it will offer. Seems like the screen is taking over.
-
I've seen quite a few posts on this on FaceBook - it looks very snazzy and can do heaps - but will the extra functions be useful for small time cooks like me - I'm not sure?
-
I need to do a bit more research on it but will possibly get it. I like the no arms . Do enjoy the 2 bowls I have for the 6. Don’t use Cookidoo much so if the emphasis is on the electronics I’m not sure.
-
Watched heaps of posts regarding the new TMX 7 ! Think it’s ugly , but I’m not a black person . It is a lot deeper too , regarding bench space . It will be a long wait to you can actually get it July -September. The sad thing for people who have the new cutter and spiralizer does not work in TMX7 . We all will know more after tonight ! I sorry to sound negative, on a positive note it’s always exciting when they develop a new model and who knows i may well be tempted. If it was white I would be very tempted one day . Also still have one DS to pass on a machine to eventually.
-
Watched 2 utube episodes on the 7. Didn’t learn a lot. Neither good productions.
-
I've seen some posts on face book about the new tmx7. I don't like the colour or the look of it. I'm not interested in buying one as I am quite happy with my tmx31.
-
My DD and DS were shocked Will the new look Tmx 7 , feel for the consultants as they will have to try sell the 6 to get a free 7 .
-
I have to be honest, it didn’t appeal to me either. The 6 runs rings over the look of the 7 and black does nothing for it either.
-
My house is / was basically black and white , so won’t look toooo bad in the kitchen. The new functions don’t add much for me as I can work around the present functions and do most things I want to do . However I would like scales that are accurate. I’ve ordered one.
-
Well done, Chookie, I thought you would be up for the TM7. Dying to hear what you think about it.
-
OMG that was a quick decision Chookie, can’t wait to hear your reviews of the machine down the track.
-
How exciting Chookie. I’ve put in an expression of interest.
-
Your decision doesn't surprise me either, Cookie. Good on you both for leading the way
-
I have to admit that my 6 has had a very tough life. Also my gas stove top is black so the colour won’t look out of place. My consultant said it wouldn’t be available until the end of July. I’ll be away at this time. I’ve looked at several utube shows, all poor presentations. I think they are prototype models. Not fully engaged.
-
I watched a video of the new TMX 7 on face book. I thought it was very poorly done and did nothing to make me want to buy one or even go to a demo.

I totally agree. My impression was that ALL the consultants were desperate to get their video demonstration "out there" that the end result was pretty poor. I don't think it did the machine or the brand any good at all. I am trying hard not to be too negative and I am sure, in time, we will all get used to the huge change in colour and appearance ... and with Cookie's and Chookie's feedback we may all think differently about it.

I’ve made another more detailed you tube video if you want to see https://youtu.be/sAJyHnbyYdQ?si=DhsS4aw2A4qlqz1s
Ok so I copyed and paste this link it may not work , my thermomixing adventures is the person on you tube . It shows a detailed workings of the Tmx7 !
I was amazed that there is no longer a hole in the lid to put food in at all . There is quite a change in how you use it but not bad at all . Think you could be right Chookie that they are all prototypes models . I wonder if you can use it without the internet going . I save a lot of my recipes etc as internet is always poor . Mind you if I think about it the internet has always connected on Tmx6 .
Had a few laughs on peoples post saying it looks like a rubbish bin ! Really it is sleek and as you say chookie it blends in . Makes the other models 5&6 look like big blobs .

I saw someone actually cooking a serious of dishes with the 7. Still didn’t tell me a lot. It’s a utube presentation.
-
I’ve been looking at various videos of the 7. It seems like it will be quite new. I was speaking to my new consultant the other day and she was saying that a lot of old consultants are signing up again so they can sell a few thermomix s and get a free 7. I even had a call from the guy who sold me my 31 many years ago. DH spoke with him and said we didn’t understand new fangled screens and things‼️ I’ve also noticed a couple of old/new consultants on Instagram promoting both the 6 and 7. I’m really looking forward to mine.
-
Thank Cookie , all interesting. I’ve had an offer to buy my 6. Haven’t decided what to do . I’ll miss the 2 bowls. I’ll probably keep 6 until I decide how I can best use the 7.
-
Hello to everyone Hope you are all well.
I came on to see what y'all were thinking about the TMX 7. I'm tempted, I've been to a recent demo and love the fact that you can cook without the lid on, the ease of removing the base, the large screen. I love the black, sleek look. It's quiet. Just am torn as I have the accessories for the 6. Mich
-
Hi Mich. lovely to hear from you.
I’ve kept my 6 as I have all the gadgets too. I’m loving the 7. So many things are easier. I’ve also kept the 5 but I don’t seem to be using it.
-
Looks like I’ll probably keep my 6. I’m still making jam in it. Can cook other stuff in 7 , while this is happening.
mcmich, lovely to see you here.
-
My consultant is going to come and give me an additional lesson with the 7. I don’t know what I did wrong yesterday when I made the beef and veggie soup but the lid wasn’t locked on and kept popping off. I had 2 bones in the bowl and these floated to the top and pushed the lid. As it was a long slow cook , I didn’t want to cook with lid off. Too much steam in the room.
As I have said, this is a completely different machine.
-
Maybe the bones push the lid open . What bows are you using Chookie ?
-
It certainly is Chookie.
-
KAtie, they were 2 chuck bones. That is the spine .
-
I've ordered a TMX 7. Hope It goes ok.

I can guarantee it will be more than just ok.
-
Mich, you will love it. So many little things that are improved on it. One of my favourites is not having to wait after using turbo.
-
That's sounding really positive Cookie and Chookie. I won't get mine until september. I will keep my 6 for while until other accessories are available for the 7 which I'm told won't be until 2026. I've been really getting into bread making and have had some great success.
-
mcmich I cooked with a friend yesterday, with the 7. Together we discovered lots of new processes. Have you tried the Soft Chinese Buns? They are on Cookidoo. If you haven’t got this, you can probably find it on line.
-
No, I haven't tried them. I have cookidoo so will give them a go.
-
I’ve been watching videos by Collette Mitegra. She is a consultant in Queensland. Her site is Thermiekitchen. She does some interesting ones. https://thermiekitchen.com/
-
Thanks Cookie for sharing.
Our consultant showed my friend how to put ingredients from a recipe on to phone shopping list .
Yesterday I cooked 4 large chicken legs in 7. To make stock. Again it kept pushing the lid off. Problem solved by setting 7 to lid off program but placing lid back on. I set the machine at 1 hour, 100 degrees, gentle reverse. The lid off temperature has to be set at 100 or less.
-
You’re very clever to be able to outsmart the TMX Chookie.
-
Well done Chookie . Is there a maximum filling capacity fir the open life’s cooking? .

I don’t know KAtie. I filled it to maximum. The chicken legs weren’t knocked around at all. I also added the bones and carcass of the takeaway chook. I remove the stuffing.
I also notice that not a lot of steam escapes from the lid.
Judy, half the fun of getting a new appliance is pushing it to the limit. This 7 will really test me but it is so much fun.
My SC gave up working, after 30+ years so I thought I would see if the 7 would do the job. Good, but don’t feel I could leave it on and go out.
-
I feel the same Chookie. I'm happy to leave the slow cooker on. Wouldn't like to go out and leave Thermie on.

This review article (not a test report) came in on my Choice newsletter this morning https://www.choice.com.au/home-and-living/kitchen/all-in-one-kitchen-machines/articles/is-a-thermomix-really-worth-it?utm_medium=email&utm_term=N%2FA&utm_source=Dynamics-365-CIJ&utm_content=INFORMER_LM_170725&utm_campaign=INFORMER_LM_170725
