Good work faffa - a bit like bron's potato sponge cake - but with chocolate - what is the texture like?
-
I made the fudge version with the extra potato and it was very dense and fudgy. Loved by the teens of course ;D
-
Saw this one myself Kathryn - thanks for converting it. I love the idea of vegies in cakes even though we don't have children at home which need to be force fed vegies.
-
LOL I love it myself, though potato probably isn't a preferred veg to sneak into them. It was nice though - well the one small piece that I got to try. Mine hang around like flies waiting for me to ice / frost things so they can eat them as the rule is in the house if you cut it before I frost it I don't frost it :P
-
Over the last couple of years I've stopped icing my cakes as we're trying to take care of weight etc. (damn BIL for having that heart attack at 60) I did ice the Carrot and White Chocolate cake though and it was lovely. A real treat.
But then we don't have hungry people who will burn up all the energy in no time at all.
-
Just cut the slices thinner cookie1 - if you can !!!
-
It's self serve in this house-especially for morning and afternoon tea. I will serve dinner.
It's easy to tell how much family like the cake or slice, you look at the thickness of the slices!
-
Mine seem to think slices consist of a quarter of a cake at a time!!!! :o :o This one I think you could get away without icing for the fudgy recipe, I have yet to make the other one of it.
-
At least they share !!! ;D ;D
-
Yes a quarter for each of the teens and a quarter for the rest of the house to share lol
