Title: Hello from Germany
Post by: OzFranny on December 28, 2015, 08:21:50 pm
Hello,

I'd like to introduce myself because you might be wondering why someone from Germany has registered for a English forum.
It's very easy: I'm addicted to English food such as meat pies, cakes and everything made with pumpkin. I'm also into what I call "experimental cooking" with whatever is left in my fridge and where I can add chili  ;D

I also like Asian food which is a nightmare over here (if you have ever been to an Asian restaurant in Germany, you know what I mean). So cooking is essential if you want to have tasty Asian meals. I'm also very curious if I will be able to make a good Indian Idli dough in my TM5.

I have planned that what ever works fine in the Thermomix will be added to my recipes, so that I can remember how it worked and to share it with you guys. I will not add anything that I have never cooked myself.

Regarding the Thermomix itself, I was already influenced by people who have owned one in the 90's. But I always thought it is too expensive. Now that they have introduced the guided cooking, I couldn't resist anymore. I'm also impatiently waiting for the test phase to be over to get the chip where you can store your own receipts. Rumours told me that it will be available next year (I guess in Q2 or Q3). If someone knows more pleeease tell me!  ;)

Welcome OzFranny. Most of the recipes here have been well tested with honest feed back. I love German Bread and have tried to make some, but none is as good as what I have eaten in Germany.
