Title: Recipe Review: Leek and Lancashire Cheese Quiche pg 86 British Isles on a Plate
Post by: Cornish Cream on November 16, 2015, 07:57:12 pm
This easy recipe produced a lovely quiche that DH and I enjoyed eating. The mild Lancashire cheese complimented the sweet leeks nicely. The only thing I would do next time would be to add an extra egg to the mixture to make it firmer.

Looking at the picture I can almost taste it. I am glad that you advised an extra egg. It is so useful to have the new books tested. I have just bought in the ingredients for the chicken and leek pie Page 54. It is one of my favourite combinations.

Must write down that it needs an extra egg CC.  Thanks for the review!

We had this for dinner tonight. I was in a rush, as usual, and didn't check back on here. It was very nice and tasty. CC is correct with it needing an extra egg. It was still lovely but not quite firm enough.
