Hi all. As a result of very few people posting on the forum I was wondering if you still wish to do SS this year. I am quite willing to organise it and I will make sure that you don't receive anyone you have had previously. ;D ( I'm pretty sure I still have copies of the last 2 years).
If you say yes please remember.......IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO SEND A GIFT TO YOUR SS WITHOUT ANY REMINDERS FROM ME OR THE OTHER MODERATORS.
If you would like to participate could you just reply, saying so. The rules will be the same as previous years. If we go ahead I will list the rules again.
Participants in this year's SS
Cookie
Cornish Cream
Wonder
McMich
Cuikidh
Trudy
Gertbysea
Jeninwa
Judydawn
Katiej
Droverjess
Bonsai
Emerald Sue
djinni373
Uni
Kezza

If I have missed you out can you please accept my apologies and pm me.
Secret Santa Rules
Everyone who wishes to be involved MUST pm me their full name and address. Not your forum name. I will put a list of participants on the forum as I receive them.
Participants must have at least 100 posts to join in and preferably check the forum at least weekly for any updates on SS.
By joining in SS you are committing yourself to sending someone a gift.
You must acknowledge receipt of your gift on the forum so that your SS (and the moderators) know it has been received.
The cut off date for entries is 7th October, 2015.
Participants will need to purchase a gift for their SS to the value of approximately $20. Remember postage will be additional to this.
Gifts must be posted no later than 5th December, 2015 for those in Australia and much earlier if overseas.
Participants that don't reply to 3 pm's or emails from moderators concerning SS will be deleted from the list.
Please indicate to me via pm if you DO NOT want an overseas SS.

I would love to join in Secret Santa again this year, Cookie. Thanks for tackling the administration once again.
-
Count me in, thanks ;)
-
Pop me on the list too please cookie. Thanks for stepping up to the plate again.
-
I have been thinking a bit in Christmas this year and this is what I am planning on doing. You girls in this forum have been more than generous to me with gifts and messages and more gifts this past year. A lot of gift giving has been going on over time and really I love to send and to receive but am in need of not one thing in this life. I have an idea others may think along similar lines.
This year I propose that anyone who is thinking of sending me a gift will they please donate the cost of to their favourite charity or a woman's shelter or what ever. I am planning on donating the cost of the gifts I have sent, in the past and add a bit more, to the palliative care hospital where Ted was sent in his way. They can spend the modest amount on the staff or patients or families.
Having said that I am still excited about SS and will be participating gladly. I love getting my name and thinking about what to send and I get really excited when it arrives and is opened. It is a hoot and hoorah. Sometime though I do get a wee bit cross with those who want to play SS but wait until the last minute to send which is a bit unfair as we all wait and anticipate as that is the fun of it. Also we want to make this as stress free for brave and crazy cookie.
So please ladies no gifts to me but think where those dollars might benefit . That can be yourChristmas present to me and I know you will be happy yours is going to Gordonvale Palliative Care Hospital in Ted's and my name.
But yes to my SS. Yahoo. Let the fun begin.
Gert
-
Count me in cookie - I love pressies!
-
Could you add me to the list Cookie. You are a gem for doing this again. :-*
-
Yes please Cookie and thank you for taking this on again.
-
Cookie, I will have to opt OUT this year. Things are just too much up in the air. I will enjoy the excitement that other members will have.
Thanks Cookie for you very generous offer.
-
Very understandable Chookie.
Gert that is a lovely gesture. Are we able to send our gift donation to the specific airport Ted left from too?
-
Nice try cookie. No pressies for me this year. Make someone else as happy as you have made me in the past. We can have a drink in Melbourne and raise it to Ted or perhaps lower it to Ted!
Gert

No worries. It will go to the Parkinson's association.
-
Yes please count me in, I was only thinking about this a few days ago.... it's such a good laugh xx
-
i'm in!
-
I'm away 1st-25th December but would like to join in if possible
-
I'm sure you could manage Bonsai. Send your gift before you go and yours will await you on your return.
-
I'm in thanks Cookie.
-
Same here Cookie, I will be away on hols from Nov end until Jan but would love to be a part of this :)
I love buying gifts :D But this will be my first time so no idea of the rules...
-
Thermilover we would love to have you join in. It's fun. I would suggest that when I get it up and running you send your SS their gift before you go on holidays. It's disappointing for people to not receive their gift, or for it to be very late.
I'll get all the rules up in the next few days and a list of people participating. Watch this space. ;D
-
cookie, perhaps those who draw thermilover and Bonsai can be reminded that both these ladies will be going away and be given the dates . Perhaps their SS will make an extra effort to post their gift off to them before the ladies leave for their holiday.
-
Brilliant thinking Judy. When do you think we should do the draw? Maybe at the beginning of October. Regular forum users will have had a chance to see this post then. Late comers will need to take pot luck.
-
Yes, why not get it done before our trip to Melbourne then we might be able to buy our SS gift whilst there.
-
Timing of gifts isn't too important to me. I'm going to India so might try to get a SS gift there - hopefully makes up for it not being mailed until after Xmas!
-
I've been umming and aghing about doing this after my disappointing time a few years ago but I've decided I'd love to be in it this year, thanks cookie for organising this again
-
Suzanne that is wonderful. It is so disappointing when someone doesn't play their part. As Bonsai is posting hers after Christmas and her trip, I will tell her SS this.
Please let me know via pm if anyone feels let down. I love to be a big bully and sort people out. ( as long as I can run faster than them. :-)) )

LOLL, you made me laugh :D

Thanks Thermilover. I could say I am over 6 foot tall (180cm) and weigh ˝ ton, but truthfully I'm barely over 5 foot tall.
Laughing is good.

-
No worries you are in Djinni.
-
Would you add me too.? It's always so much fun.
I'm afraid I haven't been on the forum much lately or done much cooking either.
-
I'm not on here much at the moment but count me in
-
Consider it some ES and Wonder. The more the merrier.
-
I would like to join in too Cookie if it's not too late.
-
Not too late at all Mich.
-
Thanks Cookie ;D
-
count me in 2, pls cookie
-
No worries Uni, you're in.
-
thanks love xxx
-
I hope to do this in the next few days. Is there anyone who doesn't wish to post overseas? Just pm me and I will make sure you don't receive DJ or CC.
Thanks.
-
I've just started putting together names, addresses etc and realised that I only have copies of who your SS was last year. If you receive someone you have already had and don't wish to send them a gift again, let me know and I can swap it, either with myself or one of the other moderators.
Sorry about that, I thought I had the last 2 years.
-
Hi cookie, if it's not too late can I join in again this year please?
-
Not too late Kimmy. I have set the cut off date as 10th. Lovely to hear from you. I hope all is well in your part of Australia.
-
Great thank you. My details are the same as last year. Let me know if you haven't got them. Things are well thank you. Weather 34c the last two days and then the cool change came today and temps dropped 15 degrees in 10mins! Crazy weather.
-
Greetings all. I plan to get the SS draw done today. I will begin emailing them out to you when I have done them. As I only have your last years SS, if you are given someone you have already had please let me know and I will try and swap it.
Happy SS'ing everyone.
-
I did get the draw done on Sunday as promised but life has got in the way. I have emailed out some SS, the rest will come in the next few days. I have tried to let overseas senders know first.
-
Great going Cookie :)
-
I have just sent the last pm out for SS. If you don't have yours can you let me know please. I am no typist and my fingers have been searching for the keys a bit today.
Just a reminder that Bonsai and Thermilover will be away over Christmas so their gifts may be late. If you are concerned nearer the time pm me and I will tell you if it is one of them.
Happy shopping everyone. Remember if you have an overseas person it would be nice if you can get it way soon.(http://www.dazzlejunction.com/graphics-holiday/christmas-glitter-notes/wonderful-christmas.gif) (http://www.dazzlejunction.com/)
-
Thanks for taking it on again this year cookie, may Santa spoil you rotten for your efforts.
-
It may be a rush at this time of the year Judy, but I do enjoy seeing the gifts and knowing who sent them. It is a pleasure.
-
I have received my SS, thanks. Now the plotting and planning begins .... great fun!
-
Thanks very much xxx
-
Thank you Cookie for arranging this, I have received my SS, now need to put my head to work :D

-
Thanks cookie received my SS. Mmmmm what to get?
-
One forum member has already sent theirs off. They are just too wonderful.
-
Whoohoo, and it's only just past mid October. Was it an overseas SS or someone sending overseas?
I'm sure you can't let that cat out of the bag. ;D
-
Sorry. No more information. It has arrived as the recipient pm'ed me. Such a prompt person.
-
That has to be the quickest delivery of a SS gift ever cookie.
-
For those attending FF this weekend if your SS is also attending there should be quite a few opportunities to get present ideas if you keep your ears and eyes open.
-
Too true Wonder.
-
Wonder you will see my ears flapping. A couple of people have asked me for some ideas, so I will be a little Dumbo, listening carefully.
-

Yes, I'm one of those who will be lurking in the vicinity of my SS to see what hints I can glean.
-
Is there no SS pressies being delivered. Usually we have pics you now! BWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Gert
-
Okay, I wasn't exactly sure if it was okay to announce, but I think I am the luckiest of all as my sweet and loving SS has sent my Christmas present already!!!
I haven't opened it yet, but will be soon as I will be going on holiday at the end of the month...
Would like to say a hugeeeee thank you to my SS for being so kind :)
And now is my turn to post mine before I am off!!
Things have been very busy at home as we are getting a backyard renovation done, shopping for my family who I will be seeing after 3 years and with an active toddler ;D
-
I was just thinking about this thread yesterday as it has been unusually quiet this year! Perhaps I will give some thought to sending my SS present off soon, or like a confused Gert has said in previous years, is it possible I have sent it already? No, surely I'm not that organised ...
-
That's funny, I've been thinking the same thing. Knowing some have already been sent and obviously received, I was wondering why no-one has said anything. It's OK to post girls, we all want to know if you have received yours and if you've opened it, a photo would be nice too. There are no SS police, it's up to you as to when you want to open your gifts.
Glad to hear yours has been received and you'll send yours before you go away Thermilover.
-
I believe that about 4 or so have been sent off. Santa is delivering a couple this year. It's certainly getting exciting. I keep having to check my list and see who is with who.
Thermilover we would love a photo of your unopened gift if you have time please.
-
Well I haven't sent mine yet, still working on it, and I haven't received mine either. Santa needs time. Sorry if this offends anyone........(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/09/c219e2e471e465a6735d66a339537fca.jpg)

LOL

Kimmy. That is the best ever. Thank you

Love it Kimmy. :) :)

Not only did my birthday present cookbook arrive today but my Secret Santa. Having a wonderful day.
-
Our first photo, yay for Gert.
-
I posted my Secret Santa a few days ago. I wonder where it went and I wonder who will receive it. :) :)
-
Pretty paper Gert. Have you had a shake, sniff or peek?
-
A beautifully wrapped. I am very excited. It is soft and hard. Looks interesting. I may not be able to resist..
-
LOL Kimmy. That's how I felt today until this showed up 8)
I read the lovely message in the card and...
my SS was at ForumFest! Now can't wait to open it..
Very nice Gert. Wonder who can last the longest?
-
It's exciting to see the presents arriving.
-
Lovely. It's beginning to feel like Christmas is coming. Thanks SS people.
-
Postie has just been and Wayne handed me what I thought was a card!! What a great surprise to find inside a gift voucher for a garden centre that is close by and one I use a lot. Such a thoughtful gift and SS whoever you are you really know me well!! Thank you so much.
-
My SS gift was delivered by one of santa's helpers (cookie). So far I have resisted opening the parcel, it's very heavy. Thank you SS whoever you are (someone that was at FF I think).(http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/11/dd6585e54f77a3824cfa0dd2cccd3b07.jpg)
-
How exciting Jeninwa. It looks rather big and you say it's heavy. Does it smell? I know it doesn't rattle.
-
Wow that is big Jenny. In comparison yours is tiny but obviously very apt Trudy, don't you love surprises! Who's next I wonder.
-
Obviously a thoughtful SS Trudy.
-
Yes, I have to apologise for opening the gift early but didn't even see the SS that was written on the back of the envelope!
-
This is getting exciting now. I love it once the presents start arriving and we see all the photos.
-
What a fabulous gift Trudy. 8)
Your SS gift looks very interesting Jenny.Another beautifully wrapped present.
-
Lovely gift trudy. SS is very clever.
That's a big gift Jen. Wonder what it is??
-
Nice to see the gifts arriving.
Lucky you Trudy. A thoughtful SS and I'm glad someone broke the ice and has opened their present.
-
I love seeing the SS gifts each year. It's sooooo tempting to open my SS gift. I'm trying to hold out until December...
-
My SS gift was delivered today too. So very kind of you SS. I will post a photo a bit later on.
-
A SS here who knows me well. Each gift has a card with something very relevant written on it. The delicious bottle has a label relating to the wind. All the others are just fantastic. I love the one that says 'one nut to another'. Thanks you SS. I can't wait to open them. If we get some windy time before Christmas I will be opening the bottle, I can't wait to taste it.
-
We are sure to have some wind here in Perth Cookie so I don't think you will have to wait long to open one gift. They all look pretty.
-
Great, I can't wait for you to open them cookie.
-
Looking forward to seeing what's inside these parcels!!
-
My SS arrived today. Will hold off opening for a while :) Thankyou SS xx
-
Have you squeezed it Kezza? :D Beautifully packaged.
-
Another exciting parcel.
-
Apologies SS, I have been really lucky to be the first person to get my present but life has just been crazy so couldn't upload a photo..
Here is my lovely present which I haven't opened yet, trying to hold on to my temptation, but will be opening it soon before I go on my holiday, Thank you so much SS :)
And also, got everything sorted to post mine, yayyy :)
-
Forgot to mention, lovely packing everyone!!! Very curious to see what's inside :)
-
My SS arrived today, so exciting. Thank you SS :)
-
I have also sent my SS today to some one :)
-
It's good to see the SS gifts are rocking up, I forget all about it until someone posts a photo of theirs.
-
Is it just me, or is everyone else intensely curious to see what is inside all those lovely presents? Great that more are starting to trickle through now.
-
You wouldn't be alone Marina, I for one can't wait to see what's in them.
-
I have an extra thrill as I know who sent them. Hee hee!
-
I have an extra thrill as I know who sent them. Hee hee!
LOL, you must hve a great deal of fun pairing up the posts / photos / gifts.
-
Ok I had to do it Absolutely thrilled with my pressies. Love the beautiful and practical apron. Yes I am a secret apron wearer. The cheese knifes are most welcome as my plastic handled oldies are ready for the bin and these are so stylish. Very very lovely but who would have guessed this beautiful thoughtful glass plate fits perfectly with my decore in my new tiny home. I love them all. Thank you so much my SS for the thought you put into these gifts.
-
It's exciting waiting to seeing what is in everyone's parcels.
-
It looks like you've been very spoilt Gert, I love all of your gifts but how good is that personalised serving board. What a brilliant idea.
-
Yes indeed Judy. Very spoiled and what an awesome fift. Very unique. I will use every single one and often. Very clever SS.
Gert

It's nice to see some presents being opened.
I like that glass plate Gert. We all need one those, as we are all Queens of our kitchens!
-
It's getting exciting now! Great presents so far and can't wait to see others!
-
Thank you SS for my pressie which was delivered today. I thought I would open it as the postie had ripped the parcel and paper a bit as he pushed it through the letterbox and the pen was showing and thats as good an excuse as any ;D A very thoughtful and handy gift, and a timely reminder as I have a mammogram appointment to confirm for December -- SS is nothing short of a mind reader!
-
lovely pressie CP :)
-
Beautiful gifts girls. 8)
-
Another nice gift Denise.

My SS arrived yesterday when I was out. Thank you SS.
I will resist temptation for a few days before opening it but I won't be able to resist for too long. ;D ;D
-
My present has been sitting on my coffee table for over a week and got the better of me today. I had a pretty good guess what it was but I was blown away when I opened it, it's beautiful. thank you, thank you my SS I LOVE it. You must have known that I wanted a new one.

It's a hard dome one side and softer with ??balls?? On the other. I suspect it's a tortoise!
-
Just received my SS gift and reading the message in the card and knowing which state it came from, I think I've worked out who sent it and what it is. I'd love to open it right now but I've got a special person staying with me for one night next week so I think I'll leave it until then. I'll share the beautiful message in the card and the contents with you all then. Thank you SS, I know I'm going to love it.
-
That is all very mysterious Judy. Is Santa coming to stay with you next week? How exciting.
-
Exciting times ahead Judy! Enjoy your guest and present.

-
Judy, you are a tease!
Jen, love your board, it's beautiful.
-
My SS gift has just arrived and I am so excited. I am not going to open it until nearer Xmas, but I have a good idea what it is because I looked at the sender's details!! I know it is something that I am going to love and get a lot of use out of and just hope I can hold off ripping into the satchel until Xmas time.
Thank you very much, SS. You are a gem.
-
Marina the senders details give a lot away don't they; I was wondering what to do about that but its all good fun. Almost like we were kids again.
-
Marina that is lovely. Good old Santa came through again.
-
Good luck holding off not opening it Marina ;D
-
who is next to open ;D ;D ;D
-
I didn't look at the invoice that came with my box from POK. I wanted a surprise when I opend the box. :D :D
-
I know what is in one of mine, but I will hold off opening it. It hasn't been windy enough to have any of another. I might just give it a try though. ;D
-
For those of us in the "know" we know what you are talking about, but otherwise a delightfully cryptic message for our newer friends to puzzle out!
-
I know what is in one of mine, but I will hold off opening it. It hasn't been windy enough to have any of another. I might just give it a try though. ;D

-
My SS gift has arrived and it came all the way from the North Pole. I wont open it yet but just admire the nice bright red wrapping. I am trying to post a picture but the first time it was too big so here goes. Many thanks Secret Santa wherever you are. I know I will love it.
-
It does look bright and cheerful Troupie.

-
Soft and squidgy sounds interesting.
-
I wonder how many SS deliveries there are to go now. How long will you sit on yours Denise?
-
There are still a few to go Judy. One of that few won't receive theirs until after Christmas as their SS is going away. Do you think I should notify them?
Perhaps I should pop up a list of those who haven't yet received their SS.
-

What is a food hugger?

Not heard of them either so I googled and watched a video. What an ingenious idea.

I'm not telling either. Or perhaps I will for the right price. 👠👠🎁🎁🌷🌷💙💙🍫🍫
-
Thank you very much dear SS, your work is incredible and very much appreciated. I love my tote bag and the quilted throw you made for Geoff will look super on his bed at the nursing home. You are one clever lady.
-
Judy they are beautiful. What a clever SS.
-
So beautiful - and such a thoughtful gift.
-
A beautiful and thoughtful gift.SS you are a clever lady.

-
Beautiful gifts Judy, your SS is very talented.
-
lovely Judy :)
-
I certainly am lucky to have drawn such a talented SS girls. Over the years, I've always been the recipient of wonderful gifts but these are my first hand made items.
-
I too have been very lucky with my SS and somebody has gone to the trouble to work out what I might like especially the blue patchwork material. I cant wait to make the Christmas tree with my GD when they come up and the beautiful decoration will hang on the tree; and Christmas ice blocks for our drinks, we will be posh. Now I just have to find a recipe to use the cutters with, probably some type of shortbread.
Now here goes with me trying to post the picture.
-
A lovely gift troupie. Congratulations on posting the photo. Our friends certainly hit the target with our SS gifts.
-
I just couldn't resist. I had to open another portion of my SS gift. At FF I was discussing with my SS how I couldn't buy another ring tin. Hey presto! This very clever SS found one and even more exciting bought it for my SS gift. Thank you so much. It will be very much a loved and used cake tin. I can retire my very old tin one.
-
Everyone is opening such wonderful gifts - I am jealous and very nearly caved in to temptation last weekend to open mine, but will hold off for another couple of weeks ... I might even make it to Xmas, but sincerely I doubt that my willpower is that good!
-
I'm very fortunate to have 4 gifts to open. So far I have weakened on the cake tin and the alcohol for wind fever. The others are tempting me though.
-
More great gifts girls. Cookie, you must be the only person who knows for sure who their SS is, even though I'm positive I've worked mine out.
-
Lots of lovely gifts being opened so I think I might go and open mine. :)
-
Thank you, thank you SS I absolutely love my present. We have all been so spoilt with all our lovely presents.
Before & after opening photos.
-
That is beautiful Margaret. I love things like that and have quite a collection.
-
What lovely SS gifts troupie and Margaret. 8)
-
Lovely gift Margaret.
-
Over the years as we have got to know each other as well as possible on this forum, it is wonderful to see these SS choosing such personalised gifts. I am so thrilled with mine and look at them every day. Very lucky I am.
Gert
-
Gorgeous bowl mab, I can see loads of uses for it.
All the SS have been very resourceful.
-
Great pressies ladies! We are such lucky people!!!
-

-
Thankyou to my SS as my parcel arrived last night. I will post a photo once I have had time to take it out of it's postbag.
Very exciting......
-
Wowed. Another one. I can't wait to see what is in it.
-
Such wonderful gifts ladies. Some very clever thinking and talented SS's we have among us. Think I must have been naughty this year......still waiting

-
I'm still waiting too Kimmy.
It's only the 2nd December though - most SS have been very diligent and prompt.
The longer the better for me. I don't open my pressie until Christmas Eve, so less temptation. ;D
-
Thanks SS ,love my new apron
-
Very nice Uni. :D
-
A big surprise Uni.
-
A lovely gift Uni.Love the apron :)
-
Nice Uni.
Yes mich, everyone seems super organised this year and your right it's really only the first week of Christmas.
-
Nice apron Uni.
-
I was having another look at my tote bag today and thinking how neatly the inside was finished. The penny suddenly dropped that it's reversible. Truly beautiful work SS.
I'm going to buy Geoff a new, plain coloured quilt cover for Christmas so that the quilted throw will be the star on his bed. The nursing home only has patterned covers and they would clash with the quilt. A win win situation, I had no idea what to buy him for Christmas before receiving my SS gift.
-
That is so very clever Judy's SS.
-
What a fabulous idea to have it reversible.A very clever SS 8)
A great idea for Geoff's Christmas present Judy :)
-
lovely Judy :)
-
Nice bag Judy and a very clever SS.
-
I thought it was time I opened another of my SS gifts. As you can see I have been more than spoiled. I love this one. The caption is "from one nut to another". I think you are rather correct on that SS. Thank you so much. A very much appreciated SS gift.
-
How did your SS do that I wonder, it is Nutella isn't it?
-
JD my sister had them done at a shopping center , only around for a few days , a few years back coke cola where doing the same to the bottles I have one with my name on it
-
It is indeed Nutella Judy. Myer are doing them here. I have bought one for my brother's partner. He loves Nutella.
-
I lead a sheltered life girls, maybe I need to get out more and maybe even read my 'junk mail' which currently goes straight into the bin.
-
My SS present arrived today. I did as I was told and ripped into the present quickly (not that I needed much encouragement!)
Thank you for the lovely earrings SS, they are truly gorgeous xx
-
Lovely gift Katie.

Lovely earrings Katie. Myer were doing the Nutella thingy when forum fest was on cookie. Maybe SS spotted them then....or maybe not.
I can finally say I've been a good girl after all. Look what arrived today. Woohoo thank you SS. Three intriguing packages and a very pretty and totally Kimmy card. I have placed them under my tree. I will be strong and wait but between you and me, they are calling to me, asking me to open them!

-
Cookie didn't set an official date this year so most of us have opened our presents already Kimmy.
-
I received 4 gifts, so I still have one to go.
Mich your gift has left the North Pole and is winging its way across to you as we speak, oops type.
-
Don't make us wait too long Kimmy :)
-
I will wait for mich to get hers and then open mine.....or will I. Hmmm
-
Oohhh, 3 packages Kimmy and a very pretty card. ;D
You might not want to wait for me Kimmy, I'm not opening mine until Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning.
-
Has yours arrived Mich? I know it must be close to you by now.
-
Not yet Cookie - the later the better - less temptation ;D
-
Well guess what was waiting for me when I got home from work? ;D
It is hard around the edges and soft as well. Only 13 more sleeps. ;D
-
You're a tease Mich.
-
It is tempting having a parcel just sitting there ;)

Wow SS how did you get it so right. I've had my eye on the iPad holders since CC made hers. And how did you know I was a crazy mama who is addicted to chocolate!!!! Did the elf on the shelf tell you? Thank you very much SS. What wonderful generous gifts. I have already put the iPad to good use.

-
My pleasure Wonder.
-
I have been away for a day and when I got back yesterday, I found that the postie had delivered another SS pressie on Saturday. I'm not sure if its from the same SS or someone else as the first pressie I tried not to look at the address in case I worked out who my SS was. I will post a pic when I open it as I am trying to saviour the sight of the pressie on my kitchen bench waiting for me. Thank you very much SS ;D ;D ;D
-
Lovely presents Kimmy. We have all been so spoilt. :) :)
A big thankyou from me too Cookie for organizing the SS.

What lovely gifts we have all received. Thanks once again cookie. Seems to have been a smooth run this year. I look at my gifts every day and am very thankful to have such good friends.

-
Lovely gifts here from very clever Secret Santas.
Couldn't resist the temptation anymore so I opened mine. Thank you very much SS :) I'm going to be either a very stylish kitchen hand or gardener, haven't decided which :D They will remind of the AA cooking class and all the fun of the Melbourne FF. I love them 8)
Also many thanks to Cookie for organising our fourth SS (I think) :-*
-
Gert that is lovely of you. It spurred me on to send my donation to Parkinson's people. Thanks for the reminder.
I decided to open my last SS gift. Golly gosh, gee, and whatever. Thank you so much SS ( remember I know who you are). I have been truly spoiled and will be sitting down this afternoon to have a lovely read.
-
Love the gloves Djinni. I think they are too pretty to get dirty in the garden. Although you could look very stylish when you gather the eggs or cut herbs. :D
Cookie, a fabulous book - I love the Plenty and Plenty More ones I have.
-
I love his books too! McMich, there is a new book called Falafel for Breakfast by the guy who owns Kepos St Kitchen in Waterloo, Sydney. Check it out at the library (since I know you are trying to declutter). Very similar to Yotem's style of cooking - and delicious!
-
Thanks Courton, you're a gem. :D
-
A lovely SS gift Gayle. You will look very posh wearing those gloves in the kitchen or garden. :)
What a fabulous book Cookie 8)

You never guess what??? Another pressie arrived from my SS - a gift voucher for T2 and another beautiful handmade card with a poem! I love tea and I'm amazed that SS knew that. You are very clever and very crafty SS - thank you very much x
(I'll put a pic up soon)

Ditto :D
-
Well, I finally succumbed yesterday - I just couldn't wait that extra day, I ripped into my SS gift and am absolutely delighted. It is the Revive Cafe's cookbook no. 4.! I love the cookbooks put out by this cafe and there are already several recipes marked in this latest one for me to cook up as soon as I get a chance.
Unfrotunately I am unable to take a photo as I am, literally, neck deep in paperwork, etc. in our shop move, but, take my word for it, it is a beautifully presented book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for good, delicious vegetarian and vegan recipes.
To my very thoughtful SS, thank you so very much for going to all the trouble of ordering this in from overseas for me. I truly appreciate and love my special present and will think of you every time I cook something from it.
-
Lovely present Marina and some wonderful recipes in No. 4.
I'm up early and made a beeline to my present. A kirigami calendar that has come with a lovely selection of really beautiful papers .
A very clever SS. I love paper craft and will think of you every day as l turn the page. Thankyou so much. I will have a practice this afternoon as there are some folds to master.
-
After waiting so long to open my present, I couldn't wait any longer to make the first kirigami. I shouldn't have started until the 2nd of January, now I don't have a 1st of January. :-)) I've got some exquisite papers to keep me occupied until next year. The calendar is sitting on the desk in the study where I spend a lot of time and now will be mastering kirigami. Again a big thankyou to my SS, I love it. :-*
-
Great presents Marina and Michele.
Your first Kirigami looks amazing Michele. 8)
-
Lovely presents Cuilidh and mcmich. The Kirigami looks facinating. :)
-
It sure does, I've never heard of it before but it's going to give you a lot of pleasure Michele.
Perfect present for you Marina, I hope things settle down soon for you at work - this dreadful weather must be making it harder for you though.
-
What lovely gifts ladies. Marina don't over do it in the heat. Are you taking a break for Christmas lunch?
Mich I believe Kirigami is tricky. The first one looks lovely. A gift that will keep you entertained all year.

Lovely Marina, Michelle, ES :)
another year of so much fun with SS.
Thankyou :)
-
Great gifts everyone, it's so lovely to see how much trouble everyone goes to for online friends.
I finally opened my present yesterday and I'm another very happy recipient. Unfortunately I'm having some computer issues at the moment so can't post a picture but I received a very generous gift of a beautiful cream silk and diamanté clutch, travel manicure set (which I found last night in DD's room already) and a visa gift voucher which will be put to good use today hopefully on some makeup I'm hoping to purchase today when I go shopping to Emporium with DS. Thank you again to my SS and to the wonderful for organising.
-
Lovely gifts everyone, a wonderfully successful SS this year.
-
Thank you everyone for your participation in SS. I think we've all had lots of fun. I've loved doing it. It's been the most successful year yet.
-
Thank you Cookie :) :) :) :) :)
-
Just catching up and seeing the last of the presents - some lovely gifts indeed!
Thanks for organising it again this year Cookie, it's been great fun.
-
Thankyou so much Cookie.
I'm going to have to get DH to hide my calendar until next year. I now don't have Jan 2nd & 3rd or Jan 17th.
It hasn't come out too well in the photo, there is a folded card/insert which has a pop out heart. Hoping to replicate a version of this for DH on Valentines Day.
-
Well done Mich. I love it.
-
Lovely gifts everyone, I've enjoyed looking at all the gifts as they have been opened. Thanks again Cookie for taking this on, it has been a lot of fun.
-
Arrived home from India on Christmas Day - thanks SS! I love baking bread and this will be put to good use

-
I've enjoyed seeing all the pressies as they've been opened. SS's have done very well this year and have come up with some very interesting and thoughtful gifts. Thank you cookie for organising again x
-
Dear all, huge thanks especially to Cookie for organising, and to my super SS for their wonderful hand made present... ;) A tall wooden pepper grinder, it is in use aready and we love it.
I opened it on Christmas Day and have emailed the photo to Cookie tonight asking for help to post as I am unable to upload the pic after several attempts.
It is such fun, the anticipation and the choosing and even the posting in the mail and on here. I've loved reading the thread.
Thank you all and very Happy New Year all my for friends old and new.
We are doing ok living with DH's cancer in 3 m chunks, next scan is March. I don't cook as much, but still rush here for recipes, the young have left home and we seem as busy as ever.
love and thanks from DJ xxxx
-
Good to see you here, DJ and to hear how things are going.
It has been good fun once again to do SS ... I already have bought one of my SS presents should we do this again next year - how's that for organised! Actually it was totally unintentional, I was browsing through my favourite kitchen porn shop and saw something that I loved and immediately snapped it up, couldn't resist it.
-
Lovely gifts Bonsai and DJ.
Good to hear from you DJ. :D
-
I love your gift Bonsai. Very useful. Marina what a good idea.
DJ so lovely to hear from you. Your SS gift is beautiful and very useful. It is a pleasure to put up the photo for you. Please let us know how DH goes in March, we are all thinking of you.
-
Lucky you DJ, you can join the privileged club of Peppermill owners of whom I am a proud member. We use ours daily, it's the best Peppermill we have owned and particularly special because it makes us think of the wonderful forum secret Santa. It's lively to hear from you and that your DH is getting on ok. Happy New Year.
-
I picked up my pepper ill by the top bit yesterday and dropped it. Peppercorns went everywhere. All I could do was laugh. Fortunately there is no damage to the peppermill at all.
-
Ha ha, I did that in the early days cookie and it dropped into a sinkful of water. I soon learnt not to do that again. I love my S & P grinders and they bring happy memories of a very special person.
-
I've had a few peppermills over the years and it is the best I've ever had. Thanks to SS. We will have to spread this person round so that they become a token of forumthermomix. ;D :D
-
I have had many pepper mills and salt grinders over the years too and up here it is just about impossible to have a salt grinder that lasts and is efficient due to the humidity. I use Himalyan Pink rock salt and sometimes the el cheapo plastic supermarket ones work best in the summer. It is a real problem in restaurants here and generally they give up and just have salt in a pot which is disgusting with everyone's fingers in it!
Gert
-
I think I'd take my own in that case then Gert!
-
I think I'd take my own in that case then Gert!
Yuk. They aren't thinking health wise.
-
They should put a salt spoon in the pot. I would forgo the salt. Remember the old days when pubs had bowls of peanuts on the table. The memory of that makes me nauseated.
-
I am still crafting with my Secret Santa present from last year.
I was given a Kirigami calendar with a project for each day. Some have been more successful than others. I do n't follow the days exactly and today made a Christmas tree that I love. Thankyou again to my SS.
-
That's lovely Mich. It's wonderful that it is bringing you so much joy. It will soon be time to think about this years.
-
That's lovely Michele. You are very clever. 8)
-
Well done, Michele, that was a super choice for you. Some people's SSs were very inventive.
-
A gift that keeps on keeping on, perfect for you Michele. I can't believe that we will be putting our names down for another SS very soon - where has the year gone!
-
Thankyou lovelies.
Want to be part of 2016 Secret Santa. Such fun ;D
Cookie, you are so generous with your time for SS.
-
Think I will have to opt out again. Just too much on our plate at the moment.
Big thanks to Cookie, though. You do a wonderful job.
-
I'm looking forward to SS again this year. :)
-
Its a pleasure doing it girls. I guess we need to think about it for this year. I will consult with Judy and Denise.
-
Today I finally put to use the beautifully crafted bed throw from my SS last year. As it didn't go with the room at the previous nursing home I put it aside it for the new one. It has finally been labelled with Geoff's name and I think it looks great. I've started with the manliest side but from time to time I will flip it for a splash of bright colours. Thank you again SS, it was a very thoughtful gift.
-
Lovely Judy.
-
It looks lovely Judy.
-
Looks great Judy. Bet Geoff loves it.
-
The whole room looks lovely Judy.
-
SS is really special as it reminds us of the generous group that we are.
Judy, you will think of your SS every time you look at that lovely throw.
