Have just ordered my Thermomix and patiently waiting for it to arrive.
With just about every cooking appliance under the sun, I can't believe how impressed I am with what I've seen so far. I know the cost may seem prohibitive but its worth it!
Having my first demo on Saturday night so fingers crossed my Demonstrator (who is a good friend) will get a purchase from it.

I hope your demonstration goes well. Good luck with the waiting "patiently" ;D.

Good luck - hope you have a great time with your new machine :-*

Hi there. When I had my first demonstration my friends came over and looked as bored as anything and I think they wondered what they were doing wasting their time looking at a kitchen applicance - but after about 10 minutes they were very very impressed and understood what all the fuss was about. It is alot of money but it should last for so many years that it pays for itself. And also when you consider that a Kitchenaid mixer is about $800 it doesnt seem so much. Enjoy!!!

Hi & welcome Lovemythermo. What a great way to spend a Saturday night - hope it goes well.

How exciting. Can't wait to hear about your reactions when it arrives :-)

welcome!

Thanks for your best wishes everyone. I'm currently a member of another recipe based forum (which shall remain nameless) but became very disheartened after seeing members nasty responses to posts. Everyone here is so welcoming and helpful!
Looking forward to seeing my friends reactions at the demonstration.

I browse other forums when this one is quiet and one of the moderators told someone off for the way they 'spoke'. They are so different to ours and it is a pleasure to be a member of this one - we all behave ourselves here :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Try to :o :o :-)) :-)) ;D ;D

Good Luck at your Demo. My group where a bit the same, but once we got started interest increased. It was interesting to see the different reactions of the group, the husbands wanted to know all the engineering facts, specifications etc, and the wives just wanted to know how it would save them time. At the end of the night, my demonstrator had definitelt earned her keep and when she left, everyone got up and wanted to make something in the machine, from making orange juice to Baileys frothed milk for their coffees. It was a good night.
You will have lots of fun discovering what you can do with one little bench top machine - Enjoy
