Good morning everyone. I've never been on a forum before and found this by default. I've been pouring over it ever since and am absolutely fascinated! I signed up as a consultant on Tuesday and am anxiously looking forward to getting my Thermomix. Like other "newbies", I'm nervous about using it as I need to justify the expense to myself as quickly as possible. I love cooking but it was my very supportive husband who pushed me to buy one. I'm determined he will become as adept at using it as I will.
Very much looking forward to trying out all the exciting recipes everyone has posted. Cheers......

Another "Perthite". Originally from Orange in country NSW but living here for over 20 years now. Love it, but getting the pull to return to my country origins.

Hi & welcome skinnycook. It never ceases to amaze me that people decide to become consultants before they even get a TMX to play with. I still prefer it to be just me and my TMX in the kitchen and am often put off if anyone is watching me. I talk to myself as I read the recipe and do what I have to do - sure others would think I was going around the twist. Good luck with your new chosen career/hobby.

HA! Thought I was the only one that did that, I prefer being on my own too. ;D
Hello and welcome Skinnycook. :)

I find I'm more relaxed if I'm using the TMX when people are there than previously when my cooking methods were fairly chaotic and I was reluctant to let people see how their food was being produced ;D The TMX has introduced some discipline into my life for which I'm ever grateful

An interesting comment Judy and Julie. I would have said that it doesn't worry me, but the other day my visitor was interested in seeing how 'Termite' worked and was watching closely. I did everything wrong! She probably thought I was really dumb. (We had been out to a long lunch, but I'm sure hic hic that it didn't make much difference)
