Title: Banana, oat and date slice (gluten and dairy free)
Post by: droverjess on January 13, 2015, 06:25:48 pm
I made this today for a friend based on this recipe. It is sugar, gluten and dairy free. I added in seeds and nuts.

I forgot the vanilla, but it still tastes good.

I used 175 gms dates, chopped in  *:
Added 3 medium mashed bananas
Added 80g olive oil and 190g porridge oats
Added 1T flaked almonds, pepitas and sunflower seeds.
Mixed on reverse  ^^ until mixed.
Waited ten minutes, spread into baking tin, sprinkled 1T flaked almonds, pepitas and sunflower seeds on top.
Baked 165'C fan oven 35-40 minutes. Cut into 20 squares.  (134 calls per square)

Enjoy.

DJ,  looks and sounds nice.  Good way to use up the bananas.

We had it today at the friends house, yes it is soft.
Not quite flapjack but tasty.
I guess you could play with the ingredients or cook longer.
