Title: Hi from Amsterdam
Post by: Chrizinho on October 29, 2014, 11:25:56 pm
As a new owner of a Thermomix, googling around for recipes and tips I came here. In the Netherlands it is not a commonly used machine in the non-professional kitchen.

I hope to pick up some great ideas and stuff... and of course learn :)

Chris

Hello Chris, welcome aboard  :)  This is the best source of Thermomix recipes and information to stumble upon and there are many wonderful blogs out there these days as well.  Did you receive a comprehensive cookbook with your Thermomix as we do. The TMX is great as it suits  everyone, not just restaurants and commercial kitchens but is definitely in use by a lot of professionals.

Thank you Judy,

Żes i got the book but because I ordered my machine in Spain the book is in spanish. Although I speak portuguese, it's not very handy.

The hardest thing right now for me is to calculate the cooking times. Lot's of recipes are big quantities for 4-6 people. I am living alone and use half or quarter of the recipes; but you can't easily half the cooking time. Sometimes total time works, sometimes i messed up and got a burned ketchup haha.

Chris, have you seen this (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13482.0) list of recipes for 2 or 3 people?  Probably worth a browse there.
