Title: Board under TM
Post by: turando on October 20, 2014, 12:29:26 pm
Hi,

I've seen some talk about placing a board under the TM or something similar. Is there any particular reason for that? Is there anything that is recommended? Thanks!

I have a Thermo Ezi Slide under my TM31. It is excellent .
It is easy to clean.
It means I can move the heavy thermomix across the bench with out lifting or dragging and potentially damaging the scales or bench top.
I highly recommend the Ezi Slide.

I have Alyce ezi slider, I think I was one of the last one to order one by mail, had got a phone call from Alyce asking if I receive it damage to let her know as Mr Postman is not taken care of delivery and she had quite a few that was damaged. She still sells them but only if you go into her shop.

I use a board under my Thermie.  Just makes it easier to slide over my (wide) bench.  It is just an offcut of shelving cut to size and saves lifting each time I need to move it. However -  I don't leave it on the board while kneading dough as it does tend to do a dance on the bench and the board would just make it easier to shuffle right over the edge.

I contacted AA website about getting another one too, below is part of their response:

Thanks for your email. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to ship the Thermo Easi Slides interstate, and as such, we have stopped selling them through our website. If you happen to live in or around Melbourne, you are more than welcome to order an Easi Slide over the phone, and pick it up from our offices in South Melbourne.
Alternatively, you can contact the supplier directly. For her contact details and more product information, visit the website below:

I've just looked at the website and I can save myself money. Our floor is 30cm x 30cm tiles. We have lots left over. Guess what is going under my thermomixes ?
