I had to send my machine to Perth for repairs. I've been getting error 31 and 52 for quite a while and just ignoring it and turning off at the wall. But, recently, it's been slowing down, so had to give it up for a while.. :'(
I didn't realise how much I used it. I've had to change plans so many times with my cooking! My DD has offered hers while it's away and I said, no, it's fine, I'll cope. But I'm not!! ;D

I feel for you MJ.
I've mDe milo and pesto in mine today, bread and bickies yesterday. I would be lost without my machine.
-
My machine has had to go for repairs as well -- a cracked faceplate. As soon as it left the house, I developed a crippling inability to think of any food that could be made easily without a Thermomix, so we're eating out tonight! :D I was hoping they would phone today to say that they were sending it back, but so far, no word...
-
That's bad news MJ and Siren.
I would be lost without my machine too if it had to be repaired.
-
Oh that is terrible. Hope you both get your Thermies back soon. Would be like losing an arm (or two) in my house.
-
I hope it makes a speedy recovery and is back soon
-
On my way home from two months away from Thermie , I hope he still loves me.
-
That's terrible news MJ, I hope he returns home soon.
-
Hope you get them back soon.

I would be utterly lost. I don't think I would cope without playing with yeast. There is no way I would knead by hand again.
-
I obviously tempted fate by posting in this thread as my machine died this evening while I was grating cheese. I had to cook my salmon mornay in the microwave instead. I hope I can get it fixed quickly as I don't know what I'll do without it. I may have baked my last loaf of bread for a while.

Oh no ES :'( :'( I hope you get your machine fixed quickly.
-
Not good news at all ES. MJ I hope this doesn't spread any further. :'( :'( :'(
-
Oh Lordy I am so sorry for all these sick thermi and their carers. So sad. Get well soon.

Not that we take our machines for granted but we sure appreciate having them back once they've been away a few days.
-
I don't think I could bear it and as I only live a few minutes away from HO I would be camping on their door step to get it back quickly. Sorry about your sick thermies girls and hope you get them back soon.
-
Yay! Just had a phone call from Thermomix UK, and my machine will be back home where it belongs tomorrow! So I'll have it back in time for the weekend. Three cheers!
-
That was quick Siren, they didn't mess around.
-
That is the beauty of the Thermomix service.

Next-day delivery service in each direction, and (so they tell me) a very quick problem to fix! My machine is out of warranty by two months (typical!), so even though Thermomix UK were very generous in waiving huge chunks of the servicing fee, the delivery charges and the cost of the replacement part mean that getting the front plate replaced hasn't been a cheap exercise. But I'm definitely looking forward to getting it back again.

Good news Siren, bad news ES!
I haven't heard anything from HO yet, but they did suspect mother board issues, so about $99 for that and $33 for looking at it. I don't care how much it costs, I want it back! I had to borrow my DD's as I just couldn't cope without it. We were starting to eat very Basic food as I just couldn't be bothered doing anything the hard way! :D
-
That seems very reasonable MJ?

My Thermomix is back. When it left, the stress-fractured face plate had "Vorwerk" at the top, and "Thermomix" in the bottom left-hand area, underneath the hotter end of the temperature settings. Now it has a different "Thermomix" logo at the top, and the Vorwerk logo is at the bottom. Curious.

Can you take a pic for us Siren. Glad you got it back.
