Hello fellow Thermomix owners and lovers! I am Jane, also known as Madame Thermomix, former Independent Thermomix Demonstrator in the UK and author of the Thermomix recipe blog "Why Is There Air?" You may have seen two of my recipes in the lovely Dani Valent's fabulous books, "In the Mix" and "In the Mix 2."
I have a passion for all things food, wine and Thermomix and I have lots to share - and lots to learn! Join me on this exciting Thermomix journey to good food and healthy eating. Hop over to my blog and try some of my recipes. Don't forget to leave a comment for all of us to share! I have written a series of posts called "Know your Thermomix" which may help new Thermomix owners work their way around their new Best Friend in the Kitchen and maybe even refresh some old hands' memories ;-)
I now live in France and intend to run a series of Thermomix cooking classes so watch this forum - I'll be sure to let you know when they start. Do let me know what kinds of recipes you'd like to see and make were you to participate in a Thermomix cooking class in France. You never know, you may get there!
Happy Thermomix cooking!
Jane

Welcome Jane. I am another one who has seen your blog. I'm pleased you have joined the forum.
-
Bonjour Madame et bienvenue!!
Wonderful to see you here Madame :-* I've been wondering how you are faring in France and if you are now a consultant there... or still a consultant in UK, or maybe both (if that's possible?). I too am a big fan of your blog, though I rarely have time to comment these days as I'm usually "breezing through" while multi-tasking and trying to remember to breathe.
Great to have you on the ground in France so you can keep us up to date with all the news from the land where Thermomix is produced ;) :o
Câlins du Canada!

Hey Helene, great to "see" you here on the Forum, too!
Life here in France is, well, the way life should be as far as I'm concerned. We're moving house in August so I'm up to my ears in it and looking forward to settling down some more.
Keep up the stellar work on your blog and with your kitchen kits and grosses bises de la belle France !
-
Welcome to our forum, Jane. I, too, am a fan of your blog and look forward to hearing from you regularly now that you have joined us here.
-
Thanks Marina!
P.S. I lived in Tongham, near Farnham and Guildford. I miss the Hogs Back sometimes!
-
That was a quick response. I love our home in Guildford, however, it is Guildford in Victoria, Australia where I live! ;D
-
Ah... you got me there! I should have known LOL :-))
-
Welcome to the Forum Jane. Glad you have joined us. I have attended 2 cooking classes in Paris, neither good. I hope you can provide something very French and TMX. I also follow your Blog.
-
Thanks, Achookwoman!
I'd be very interested to hear about your Paris cooking class experiences: what was good; what wasn't; what you were expecting and what you would like to get from a Thermomix cooking class and/or a non-Thermomix cooking class. Feel free to PM me. Maybe I'll even start a new thread on this topic - but I have a blog post to write first ;-)
-
Welcome to the forum, Jane! We love our thermomixes here 😄😃
Hope to learn lots from you. Will hop over to your blog soon.
-
Hello :D

Hi and welcome Jane. :)
-
Hi jane and welcome.
-
Welcome jane... Often saw bits and pieces from your blog and on the uk thermomix newsletter? Glad your now living in france... Not long moved back to australia from france...my second home. Coming up to two years almost.. Where abouts in France are you living? Miss it alot.. Cant wait to see what french influence hits your blog :)
-
I love checking out your blog too and especially all the French stories. Just came back from a lovely holiday over there - where are you based?
-
Hey, Jude, thanks for the welcome and the lovely comment about my blog :D
I am currently based outside of Paris in the 78 department, with a country home in the Centre of France near Sancerre. Winemaking region!! I love observing the progress and the work in the vines. Such beautiful photos to be taken - follow me on Instagram or Facebook to see more. I'm under Whyisthereair on both.
Look out for more interesting stories as in 3 weeks we move to Maintenon in the Eure et Loire, a bit farther from Paris but with its own chateau. I intend to start cooking classes there so if you are back to France again, perhaps you'd like to attend?
Are you based in Oz or in the UK? How long have you had your Thermomix and what do you like to make in it?
E-talk soon!

I live in Melbourne Australia. Had TMX just over three years :) I use it for almost everything just love it. I love it so much I have given my two daughters and my daughter in law each one as I want them to cook from scratch as much as possible ( thinking of the little grand darlings). Only one actually wanted it. The other two said "would never use it".... Well I'm pleased to say that they ALL would never be parted from their machines! In fact they teach me a lot now LOL! Can't believe the change of mind two have had. I lent my daughter in law, who definitely did NOT want one, my machine when I was away... In France actually. Haha. There were tears when I came to claim it back until the new one could be delivered. I think TMX should lend out machines because I have had three people buy because they used mine when I was away at various times.
I would definitely love to come to a class and will watch out. We usually go to France every May- June but next year we have to visit my brother in Oregon :( he is having a significant birthday. ... And as we run our own business we have limited get away time. This year we were in Avignon, Paris and Strasbourg with a side trip to San Sebastián. I get your FB notifications and am green with envy for your lifestyle!
