Hi and welcome to the Forum Modernist Maude.  I am still laughing at myself because I mis-read your name as Modest Maude.  (Hope we can still be friends though.)

Hi everyone thankyou for the friendly welcome!

Achookwoman we were in Echuca and just moved over the border to Moama:) NSW this week!!!

Itsnotartitsdinner - love your name!!  I love Sweet things!! soups, but we have lots of curries.
Deniser and Kimmyh - Modest maude IS v FUNNY!!! lol but Im definitely more of a Modernist!!
Astarra -there are 4 of us, plus our dog and pet lamb:)
Cookie1 - I must say I havent really embraced my thermie fully yet, I love soups, slices, curries - full flavoured -

I love Jamie Oliver's type of cooking using lots of herbs, spicesand fresh foods - to date I have only cooked a couple of curries in it and was a bit disappointed with the lack of flavour - but it is highly likely its because Im not experienced and confident enough cooking in it!!   This forum caught my attention when I was googling popular Thermomix Cookbooks and it was mentioned that the forum has some great recipes.

I'd love some quick easy, failproof bread /rolls, some quick slices, main meals for families, etc.

Appreciate any suggestions  - thanks so much in advance:)!!!

Helen, Chookie's recipe is great - http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4253.0.

As far as casseroles and curries go, they are so much tastier if made a day in advance.

Helen I make that recipe of Chookie's 3-4 times a week. I make it as a loaf and it is our everyday bread. For a change I use different types of flour and seeds. It is a lovely tasting recipe.
When you have time have a look through the sections titled Main Meals and All in One Meals. Read the reviews etc of the recipes and try some that you feel you will like.
Don't forget to let us know how things go.

We even have an oops thread. I have featured rather well there lately.  ;D ;D

Helen,  love your part of Vic/ NSW.  You have access to some great produce up there.

Thx cookie1 - I will have to experiment with it, I have only ever made the spelt bread rolls, so way behind on bread making:)

We do achookwoman - we have a couple of gr8 markets - I love fresh almond milk and Aintree Farm at Srathmerton grows/sells organic vegies and almonds, as well as cold pressed honey, etc -

I made Chelsea's Curried Pumpkin and Lentil Soup tonight which was delicious! So already this wonderful site inspires.  I just need to make more of an organised effort to cook more with my Thermie!
