The forums next challenge.
Hi friends we thought it would be great fun to find and cook recipes that have been posted from our wonderful members Chookie and/or Isi. There are some great recipes hidden and they need bumping.Have fun friends cooking.
PS To help you find recipes. On the main page of any thread, you click on 'Started By' and names go in alphabetical order. ( thanks Judy for telling me this :-*)
PPS Some of Chookie's recipes are hidden as they were posted by Thermomixer in the early days ;)
-
Made this one (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3372.0) tonight and it is in my opinion better than Lemon Delicious. It's is a dessert that always gets high praise. I pre-cooked up to the point just before you beat the egg whites, and then popped into a pre-heated oven for 15 mins after our roast dinner. My favourite filling is lemon curd and raspberries/blueberries. Its an absolute winner!
-
Ah, yes Queen of Puddings - love that recipe too CP.
-
Great idea. This is going to be a fun challenge. Both Chookie and Isi have posted loads of wonderful recipes, we will all get heaps of inspiration from this one.
-
Brilliant idea, CC!! :D :D Chookie's on a pedestal in this house . . .lol Has anyone has heard from Isi at all lately? Excellent idea for bringing up a lot of treasures that have been buried in time!!
-
Blush, blush, and one for Isi too.
Isi's Light Coffee Cream is a favourite of DIL . At only 200 calories a serve it it lovely.

Good challenge. Good hunting everyone.

Chookie is a star in this house too, especially as DH knows who I am speaking about. I still make Isi's recipes with some regularity.
CC this is a super challenge. Thanks for thinking of it. We will be able to lots of different things.
Happy Challenge everyone.
-
I have found one that is very easy. Set it down for Thursday. It is a quickie so will have to find one more challenging
Gert.
-
I love Isi's recipes! I wish she would come back and post more.
I made her Madeline's last week
-
Yes, this will be a popular challenge. Great idea CC :-* :-*

Have fun everyone, I have posted 390 recipes.
We have a 2 lots of visitors this week, so bought olives today to make Isi's Crispy Olives.
-
390 recipes :o well done chookie :-*
-
Chookie I knew you were a big star. Thanks for everyone of those recipes. :-*
-
Gosh Chookie, 390! That makes it tricky to decide as you post such yummy recipes. I'd better start searching!
-
Plenty to choose from then Chookie. You are a trouper indeed :-* :-*
-
I love Chookies recipes and of course Isi's. Still have a long way to go with working my way through 390 of them. Thank you both for all the inspiration and help. Will find a couple of my favourites to post - decisions, decisions!
-
390 Recips Chookie! Now I am feeling bad - I have never posted even one! I just enjoy trying out everyone else's contributions and thank you everyone for them. Makes my life so easy.
-
Have fun everyone, I have posted 390 recipes.
Blimey Chookie 390 :o :o You really are a generous person to share your cooking adventures with us all :-* :-*
We are hoping for lots of photos to show off your recipes ;D
-
There's a lot of cooking to be done if we are going to try them all (Wow 390 posted recipes). Have just made the Granny Smith and Lemon Curd (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3493.msg362589#msg362589) and bumped the recipe (hope that's the correct word).
-
Wow, What an amazing challenge. There are some incredible recipes here, that need resurrecting!
Thanks so much CC for this fantastic idea. It's revival time :)

Made Isi's Crispy Olives (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2818.0).
Used jumbo olives, so needed 3 time the pastry recipe. Made 65.
Need to be careful with amount of water. I think Isi's tablespoons may be our dessertspoons.
Isi's instructions are as usual right on the mark.
Baked 4 in AF. to try them out. Very good. Straight from rolling, onto silicon mat in AF. Sprayed with a light coating of oil and flipped half way. 12 minutes, from cold, 180. Lightly browned and baked through.
Will freeze the remaining to use as required.
Will post photo on Wednesday when I bake some.
-
Good one chookie. Big olives on my list.
Gert
-
I am embracing this challenge too.
Tonight we had Chookie's salmon chraimeh http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12400.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12400.0) for dinner and it was truly amazing. I will definitely be making it again as I've just taken delivery of 5 kg of salmon steaks.
I am also attempting her milk and honey bread, but it is taking an inordinate amount of time to prove. I started it 5 hours ago, and have just put it in the oven.
What is the protocol with this thread? Do we post a comment in the original thread, and then again here?
-
Perhaps a link to the recipe and a picture on the challenge thread would suffice ES then a comment in the recipe thread would be the way to go. This one is off to a good start by the looks of it.
-
Wow ES that looks delicious. I can't even remember this recipe of Chookie's :-))
-
Well, I have just taken Chookie's Milk and honey bread http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4279.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4279.0)out of the oven, and it's looking good.
-
I usually make a couple of loaves of Chookie's No Fuss recipe a week. It is our everyday bread. The only change I make it using 50-70g of whole meal spelt flour and then making it up to the 520g with Bakers' flour.

-
Great loaves girls.
-
Great loaves ES and Cookie 8)
The No Fuss Recipe is so easy and reliable ;D
-
Isi's Pasta in the Oven (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2708.15) is one of the forums recipes that is quick and easy to prepare.Made it tonight with odds and ends found in the fridge and freezer.

-
Fantastic chookie, thats a ton of recipes.
CC looks great, I didnt think I could enter the challenge but I have lots of bits and pieces to use up, so will be making the pasta with what we have :)
Here is no fuss bread, made frim grains straight from my friends wheat farm, ground them in TM & used straight away.
-
If anyone would like some SD starter, to have a go for the Challenge, I could post some. This time of the year it should survive 4 days in the mail. I post on a Monday so it doesn't sit in the PO over the weekend. Just PM me with postal name and address.
-
I made Chookies chocolate delight last week when Trudy and Wayne stayed.
Trudy had never had it before and they loved it.
Here is the recipe http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2356.0
It's a keeper!
-
Great cooking everyone. So many lovely recipes to choose from.
-
This is Chookie's chicken meatloaf. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=14784.0
I changed the glaze slightly to the ingredients I had on hand. It smells delicious. Can't wait for dinner tonight.
-
Lucky you getting some wheat Hally. I have to buy mine now. My Dad would turn in his grave if he knew. :'(
CC I love the pasta and Mich I'm sure the meatloaf was yum. I am now realising that there are many of Chookie's recipes I haven't made. I have concentrated on the bread.
I have the SD starter out to freshen up and I'll do a couple of loaves there.
-
Great recipes girls.
I just whipped up Chookie's Welsh Rarebit (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7348.0) for lunch. Made 1/2 the recipe and spread it over 2 pieces semi frozen wholemeal bread. Cooked in a preheated 200o air fryer for 4 minutes with no need to toast the underside first. Enough left over for 1 more slice of bread, will try 180o next time to compare results.
Nice recipe Chookie.
-
For lunch had Isi's pasta and my 2 second salad. Made Judy's small mushroom and Caramalised onion tarts to freeze. The meat eater didn't realise that he had an almost meatless lunch. ;D also baked lemon tea biscuits from a roll in the freezer. Photos to follow.
-
Followed CC's footsteps 😄 Made Isi's pasta bake for lunch. Boy #2 is having second helping 👍
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/08/ezyredyh.jpg)
-
My GD made that pasta bake some years back girls, it's a little beauty. A good one just after Christmas too.
I was out all morning, home for a couple of hours then out again until 5 pm. I've made 4 of Chookie's recipes in the time I've been home and still managed to sit down with my evening meal to watch the 6 pm news. That's how easy the following early recipes of Chookie were. The Welsh Rarebit was posted in a separate posting earlier.
Sweet Chilli Salmon (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7759.0) served with Pumpkin Spiced Rice (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5583.0)
For tomorrow Creamy Crab Soup (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2495.0)
Thanks Chookie, enjoyed them all.
-
Great cooking everyone! What an excellent challenge choice.
I made Chookie's Lemon Chicken and combined the cooking with Bron's Garlic Rice. It was so super delicious. I made a note of exactly what I did under the Lemon Chicken thread: http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12690.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12690.0) So that I can remember what I did for next time :)
Here's a photo (also included in the lemon chicken thread :)
-
Exactly what we want Jamberie, linking, commenting and photos - here and in the original recipe thread. I love how everyone is responding to these challenges and knew this one would be a real hit ;D
-
Am I allowed to post a new Ice Cream Recipe?
-
Of course you can Chookie :-*
-
Those who like boozy Ice Cream will love this one. Hazelnut and Frangelico liqueur Ice Cream.
-
Ooh, I can't wAit.....I'd better go and buy some frangelico :)
-
Those who like boozy Ice Cream will love this one. Hazelnut and Frangelico liqueur Ice Cream.
Yummo I've got two bottles of Frangelico in the cupboard.
-
What a wonderful idea CC, well done. Everything looks wonderful. Chookie 390 recipes posted, I always knew you were a forum hero but that is amazing. Thank you.
ES, I am jealous of your salmon delivery.
-
That ice cream sounds lovely Chookie. That will be 391 recipes.
Where would we be without Chookie's recipes?
-
Made Chookie's Lemon Spread (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2352.0) and used it as a pie filling to make Lemon Meringue Pie.Tastes delicious.

-
Oh! My giddy aunty, CC!! What can I say!!! that looks absolutely incredible!!! 8)

I made Chookies no fuss bread last night as a garlic and rosemary focaccia. It was demolished before I could take a photo 😃😃😃
-
Isi's cinnamon cookies http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2870.0

This has got to stop Ladies!
Gert
-
No Gert!! I. Have just made Chocolate custard to go with crepes and Hazelnut and Frangelico Ice Cream. New recipe for custard and Ice Cream, and EDC crepes. Custard made with Lindt, 70%, not too sweet.
-
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/09/ydeqybum.jpg)
Will reheat and serve with ball of Ice Cream.
-
Chookie that looks so nice. I use Lindt 70% almost all the time. I buy several blocks when it is on special and I have lovely chocolate to use for cooking. I love Orange Intense and Strawberry Intense in custards. So nice with the subtle flavour of oranges or strawberries.
-
That looks really good Chookie. :D
-
Everything looks delicious ladies.
-
Chookie's dried apricot preserve. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=7210.0
-
Chookie's, Gentleman's Relish. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=11807.0
-
Chookie that looks delicious.
Michele, you have been busy - I must try the dried apricot jam as apricot is my favourite jam.
I've now cut the loaf of milk and honey bread http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4279.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4279.0)
It had a lovely texture and was easy to slice thinly. We had delicious salami, cheese and tomato toasted sandwiches for lunch.
-
Great cooking today girls.
-
Lovely bread ES.
-
I have been a copy cat too. Isi's oven baked pasta looked so nice that I made it for dinner. I used fresh mushrooms, and saw some tiny zucchini out on super special so bought those and added them as well.
We loved it. (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/09/a4y9ugy7.jpg)
-
The bread looks lovely ES.
The pasta looks yum Cookie.
-
Isi's pasta dish is getting a good work out ;D Such an easy one so it's no wonder.
-
I don't like this challenge much. Too many food things to revisit and my shopping list is growing.
Gert
-
Ditto Gert. Chookies got enough recipes posted for very day of the year.
Great cooking everyone.
I chose Isi's Portuguese rolls http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2729.0
(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/09/dy7e2e9e.jpg)
-
Some great food things happening here! I'm making sourdough tomorrow with Chookie's recipe. Just getting my starter re-started.
-
I used Chookie's No Fuss recipe (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4253.0) and baked it in my Milk Loaf tin. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5483.0)
Went a bit mad with the sesame seeds :D :D
(http://i950.photobucket.com/albums/ad348/Cornish_cream/2e8598d473e11426e83c340bfa448bd3.jpg)
-
That loaf looks awesome CC. We called them a tank loaf when I was growing up. Love your cooling rack too. :D
-
Lovely CC and so easy to slice too. I love how you managed to get the sesame seeds so evenly spread across the entire loaf - I can never do that but I love the taste of toasted sesame seeds on bread ;D
-
the sight of the tank loaf always brings back memories of how we forum members went mad for them. I wonder if the suppliers thought they had better order in a huge quantity and then got stuck with a truckload of them when the fever died down ;D ;D ;D
-
Probably did CP but those of us who bought them, were very happy with the resulting loaves weren't we? It makes the only loaf I can cut without going off on an acute angle ;)
-
I have had a very frustrating day and not been able to cook what. I was actually going to do. However I did manage to make chookie's.
Lemon and carrot jam http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2349.0
I added an orange and a mandarin. Yum. I am afraid I gave it to the plumber before I took a pic.
I was planning on a lovely variation of Isi's Salmon Pasta but in the end I just chucked it all in and it was delicious. Not good looking but so easy as Isi's said.

I am going to make the Gentlemen's relish tomorrow if I recover from today otherwise I may stay in bed with the covers over my head.
Gert
-
You did very well considering you are not feeling great Gert. The pasta looks like good comfort food.
I made Chookies Lemon Tea Biscuits: http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=15547.0
They were delicious :)
-
Feeling fine just frustrated and pi$$ed off.
Better cooking tomorrow.
Gert
-
The pasta looks great Gert. :D
-
I hope tomorrow is a better day for you Gert :-* :-*
Great Salmon Pasta.Must try your version.
-
For those of you in winter temperatures this is a great recipe posted by Chookie.
She kindly recreated some soup we had on a day out.
We really recommend it!
http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=10616.0
-
Made Chookie's Lemon Chicken. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=12690.0)Delicious. ;D
-
Oh boy, You girls are inspiring me to try some of my own recipes . I will be making Isi's prawn soup next.
-
Today started no better than yesterday. Has not time yesterday to make Chookie's Gentlemen's Relish so started at 0600. First I found my 250 gms Apple cider vinegar had turned into 100 mls of Malt vinegar. Then not enough tomatoes sauce so open from the fridge an upside down bottle of tomato paste very bad move. It exploded all over the place. My kitchen living area looked like a crime scene. Ceilings, walls, sinks , floors, hair, phone, iPad, everywhere sricky deep red tomato paste.
So to make chookies Gentlemen's Relish
Emptied the malt vinegar into the jug plus about 170 mls left in a white balsamic vinegar.
Then I accidentally dropped 100 gms of prunes into the jug.
No enough tomto sauce so supplemented it with paste.
Dumped 80 gms of brown sugar by mistake
65 mls of Worcestshire when distracted by Clive Palmer on TV
Garlic bulb slightly ion the way out so chucked it all in
Opened a brand new jar of Anchovies. Ate about 10 while standing and put a very good bunch into the jug
No mustard powder but a good dollop of German mustard
I m not fond of allspice so old dodgy jar 1/3 full emptied into jug
Chilli powder back of pantry but fresh dried in front. One big'un
Done eh. I then reduce in by half. Just tasted it. Hot and spicy. Made me cough and sputtered the Thermomix and everything around it including shirt with yummy relish! Added a wee bit more sugar and cooking a wee bit longer.
Apart from a couple of changes it is the same as chookies. ROFLMAO!
Gert
-
You're definitely a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants cook Gert :D :D
-
Gert, I think this is a new recipe and you should give it a name. Something like Splutter Sauce comes to mind .
-
Apart from a couple of changes it is the same as chookies. ROFLMAO!
Gert
Gert, I think this is a new recipe and you should give it a name. Something like Splutter Sauce comes to mind .
ROFL with tears in my eyes!
-
The Kitchen Wizardry of Gert the Great! What a hoot! :D
I have Chookie's Sourdough (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6824.0) rising in a lidded tin. Started it yesterday morning, so it should be delicious.
Also made isi's Pasta Bake last night for tea with left over roast chicken, broccoli, corn and a tin of mushrooms. It was delicious!
-
I forgot about this post and put my dinner menu on another one but I am cooking Chookies Fab Bolognaise for dinner to make as Shepherds Pie as we have GCs with us for dinner tonight.
-
Love it Gert ;D
-
Apart from a couple of changes it is the same as chookies. ROFLMAO!
Gert
;D ;D ;D
-
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Gert, that made me laugh hard - you are my kind of cook!
So far for the challenge I've made one of Chookie's bread recipes and one of her mains. Tonight it's Isi's turn for
bread and main
-
Gert you make me laugh with your cooking antics :D :D
-
I have made Chookies spicy cauliflower fritters. I will reheat in the AF and serve with soup for dinner(although DH has already taste tested and approved)(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/11/4u3edadu.jpg)
-
They look good! I haven't made those before, must try them.
My sourdough using Chookie's recipe worked out really well. I left it to prove in the tin for almost 20 hours with the lid on. The starter is one from Yoke Mardawi's book using rye flour.
I've been trying to embed a photo from a Picasa web album, but it's just not playing nice. I'll keep working out how to do it and in the meantime will just add a link.
Sourdough (https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/9-0UH8X5puMhRkROkpcC0NMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=directlink)
-
Oh my Gert. Me thinks you should have a day with no cooking tomorrow.........my body can't take anymore laughter.
-
Oh Gert, thank you. ROFLMAO.
You reminded with the anchovies that I bought some local marinaded sardines today. Delicious.
-
I made isi's Taiwan bread this afternoon - another loaf that needs a long rise and is quite sweet, although the crumb is quite different to Chookie's milk and honey bread. It is a light fluffy loaf, and I had to cut it whilst it was still a little warm and wolfed it down spread with passionfruit curd.
I was intrigued by Isi's recipe for chicken strips in a coffee sauce. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2843.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2843.0)
I asked my family to pick the "secret" ingredient, and nobody was able to. The coffee flavour was undetectable- it was a simple creamy sauce for the chicken. I added veggies to the sauce and served it with penne and Parmesan cheese. It made quite a lot and there is a little left over despite both kids going back for seconds.
-
Great choices ES.
-
Just out of the oven, sour dough (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=6824.0) bread . Thank you Chookie. Starter still going strong(http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/07/12/7yrazepe.jpg)
-
That looks delicious Marie.
I made Chookie's SD with Rye and whole meal flour in it. It took all day to rise and then the second rise was a lot quicker by the heater. I think I need to put it in a smaller tin as it caught quite a bit. The flavour is wow though. No photo as DH cut it up and froze it while I was in the shower. I was too lazy to pull any out. :-\
-
More great recipes. I will have to try the spicy cauliflower fritters. The chicken sounds good ES.
Great loaf Marie.
-
Great sourdough loaf Marie.
Isi's Baguettes Stuffed or Not (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2788.0) for the challenge.
Filled 2 with turkey & cranberry sauce and 1 with cheese and garlic paste. Left the small rolls plain.
The garlic/cheese one is super. I didn't use much paste as my jar was almost empty which was a good thing because I would have probably have spoilt it by spreading a lot more onto the dough if I'd had it.
-
Marie, that looks gorgeous! I'm too scared to do a free form sourdough. I used my tin with the lid. The flavour of the sourdough is just delicious! I'm still not thrilled with the texture yet, but it's only my second loaf.
Isi's Pasta Bake is a winner. I'll be making this quite often, I think. May even try it with rice instead of pasta.
Cookie, my DH wouldn't ever think to cut up and freeze anything! I often wonder how I'd cope if he were even slightly interested in what's going on in the kitchen. ;D
JD, you posted as I was typing. They look fab!!
-
Emme. Outstanding!
Gert
-
Emme, looks very good. Glad the starter is still going. Mine has recovered its sulk and is again bubbling away.
Judy, the loaves look very tasty.
MJ, keep making it. You will get what you like in the end. The lid on the tin does change the texture.
-
Emme that loaf looks positively scrumptious. Am enjoying seeing all the food photos that people have been posting. Have got one of chookies cakes planned to make for a neighbors birthday on Tuesday. it looks like I can combine 2 recipes - the lemon spread and the lemon feather cake. chookie is an absolute legend :-*
-
Wonderful breadmaking today girls. It all looks good and sounds fabulous 8)
-
Great looking bread Emme & Judy
I made isi's creamy chocolate pudding for dessert using Haighs dark chocolate and it was Devine. Next time I might try putting in a few drops of my Tastebom peppermint oil, or maybe some orange oil, or hazelnut. This is not good for my waistline!
There is one left in the fridge - we will all be fighting over it tomorrow. http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3914.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3914.0)

Chookies quick curried rice with egg & peas. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13741.msg361696;topicseen#new)
Delicious!

-
It looks so fresh and appetising Katie.
-
It certainly does.
-
I've used Chookie's SD starter to make the bread using the recipe Chookie gave me. It uses 400g of starter. It didn't rise enough yesterday to bake so I put it in the fridge over night. I baked it this afternoon. I love the little bubbles on the top. I'll post another photo after it has been cut. It may be full of holes.
-
Made Chookie's Chocolate Delight Sweet for a family dinner. Love the fact that it's so quick and easy but tastes great.
-
I made Isi's Vegetarian Lasagne (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=3354.0) today.
-
I have been given some lemons and I just bought some! I can't find the Lemon Feather Cake recipe. Can anyone find it and link for me?

Snap.
Gert
-
:D :D :D
-
Thank you! I even did a google search. I think the fact that the title has (no flour) after it makes it difficult to find. :-*
-
MJ, I just googled "lemon feather cake forum thermomix" and it came up straightaway :)
-
I made Isi's Onion Pie (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2862.0) for the challenge. Its delicious.
The different pie crust intrigued me and that I bagged a bargain at the supermarket with grated Gruyere cheese. ;D

I love that recipe and miss Isi. Her writing always brought a smile to my face. How hard it must be to post a recipe when English is not your first language.
Your pie looks great CC.

Lovely pie CC. I emailed Isi but no response, she may have changed her email.

What a shame, JD. That vege lasagne looked good!
The pastry in isi's onion pie is similar to one the Hairy Bikers use in a low calorie pastie that they make. It's basically a pizza dough. I've never tried it though, so will make that onion pie soon.
-
What was that pie crust like, CC?
MJ is right Marina,it's like a pizza crust.
-
Thanks MJ and CC

I've made another couple of Isi's recipes today. I made her Portuguese rolls into a loaf, and her delicious oatmeal cookies http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2837.0 (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=2837.0)
I've made plenty of oatmeal based biscuit recipes before, but nothing that tastes like these. They are well worth making as they are delicious, and the recipe makes more than 60 biscuits.

Love your pie CC and your cookies ES.

That looks lovely CC. I love these challenges as so much gets bumped. It's like lots of new recipes being posted as I have forgotten so many.

I served Isi's Olive yummiest this morning. I made them yesterday and froze them. I cooked them this morning. The only difference was that I let them defrost for 20 minutes but still cooked them for about 20 minutes. They were loved by everyone. I only just managed to get a photo of the remaining three.

Nice recipes CC, there are so many of the girls' recipes from which to choose.
-
I agree Judy, it is great fun.
-
CC, love the look of that cake.
-
CC's cakes make me feel so inadequate. No wonder I never make cakes.

This is such an inspiring challenge; I have just been through it all once and now want to go back and try lots of the recipes that I have not noticed before. I made Chookies Rum and raisin banana cake today for DH to take to club. We don't have rum so I used a bit of Cherry brandy essence. Turned out great and the men were more than happy; these will be made often.
-
Made Isi's oatmeal cookies at the weekend using lightly toasted and quickly turboed rolled oats. Very tasty and easy.
-
Troupie, glad the boys liked the cake.
-
Yes Chookie, they appreciate it every Tuesday and its a good excuse to experiment. They are a real nice bunch of boys too, the eldest is in his 90s.
-
Definitely a group of boys troupie. Some of the wives call the car club that DH attends The Prostrate Shed. ;D ;D

You asked for it!

The Prostate - What is it?
The Prostate is an organ forming part of the male reproductive system. It is located immediately below the bladder and just in front of the bowel. Its main function is to produce fluid which protects and enriches sperm. In younger men the prostate is about the size of a walnut. It is doughnut shaped as it surrounds the beginning of the urethra, the tube that conveys urine from the bladder to the penis. The nerves that control erections surround the prostate.

;D, thanks Gert. What would we do without our morning smile.

Well, sometimes someone can have a prostrate prostate!
Also enjoying this challenging, rediscovering all these fab recipes.
